Not right this moment though, they're all on summer holidays.

Two of my favorite sitcoms are on right now so it ain't too shabby.

Well, comedies anyway.

polyphonic, Monday, 11 July 2011 20:51 (twelve years ago) link

funny how this show entered, with its 2nd season, the sort of indulgent, adventurous phase that many shows don't reach until much later. i def. enjoy all the "concept" episodes, although the "documentary" one was relatively naff.

do you mean the one with Pierce in the hospital? because the Levar Burton stuff was gold.

Gukbe, Monday, 11 July 2011 21:02 (twelve years ago) link

yeah levar burton was good, but the episode lacked coherence, i thought.

^^ jealous! when i went to california with my cousins last month we did an informal nbc comedy set tour, we visited the dunder-mifflin building from the office (it's in van nuys) and pawnee city hall from parks and rec (really pasadena city hall).

Johnny Fever, Monday, 25 July 2011 15:30 (twelve years ago) link

I kinda hope they don't just let him trot out Omar-isms for an entire season. I have enough faith in the writers to do something more interesting with that actor.

j., Tuesday, 26 July 2011 06:50 (twelve years ago) link

kinder, Tuesday, 26 July 2011 06:52 (twelve years ago) link

Here's more info on the Goodman thing from Deadline:

“John Goodman is set to recur in at least six episodes of NBC’s offbeat comedy Community. He will play Vice Dean Laybourne, the head of Greendale’s air conditioning repair school and a nemesis to both Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) and the show’s core study group.”

i guess this just means a (long overdue) addition to the opening credits, i mean he's had multiple lines in every episode from day 1.

Lotsa big pay days for Rash - he helped write the upcoming Alexander Payne movie, starring George Clooney.
