it's like they want you to download 'em
i too found Razor a bit disappointing, felt about the same as the weakest parts of s3
― blueski, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 16:51 (eighteen years ago)
I hate watching shit on my crappy laptop, I ain't downloading anything.
― Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 16:52 (eighteen years ago)
that'll show 'em.
― s1ocki, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 16:55 (eighteen years ago)
WAITING FOR SEAS 3, WHERE ARE THE LITTLE FUCKERS? Do not have computer for to downloading.
― Laurel, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 16:57 (eighteen years ago)
whatevs s1ocki plz to explain why I should go out of my way to watch a low quality product on my tiny laptop in a manner that will not enhance my enjoyment of the material
yr acting like my expectation that they should release seas3 in the same manner they've released all the other episodes is totally unjustifiable or something
― Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:06 (eighteen years ago)
Razor was a return-to-form, and Season 3 was just fine, I thought. (Although admittedly a bit dull in the middle, and not as good as the first two.) But I'm not all 'omg shark jump' about it.
― Chuck_Tatum, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:07 (eighteen years ago)
they'd better finish series 4, or...or...
― DG, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:09 (eighteen years ago)
The big FITE around ep 3 or 4 of Season 3 is well worth waiting for the DVD, it looked a bit shite on my laptop.

i was just joking dude
― s1ocki, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:11 (eighteen years ago)
i had no point beyond it would be funny to punish the studio by not stealing its product
― s1ocki, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:12 (eighteen years ago)
shoplifting so much more satistfying than downloading
― Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:13 (eighteen years ago)
apparently they could be back in production soon to finish uyp the final season now that the strike is over.
― latebloomer, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:34 (eighteen years ago)
season 3 started out really good with the new caprica stuff but once they left it kind of petered out. i liked the wacky finale though.
can't wait for season 4.
― latebloomer, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:38 (eighteen years ago)
seasons 2 & 3 both flagged in the middle but started & ended strong. they should stick to like 12 episode seasons, and leave out the bullshit in the middle (if heroes did this i would still be watching it)
― max, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:40 (eighteen years ago)
also i think on season 3 the mid-season flagging was not helped by the network-mandated standalone episodes.
― latebloomer, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:42 (eighteen years ago)
oh was that why there were all those water-treading disconnected relationship issues eps??
― s1ocki, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:48 (eighteen years ago)
season just GROUND to a halt.
― s1ocki, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:49 (eighteen years ago)
yeah i HATED those, when my friends started watching i told them to skip em
― max, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:54 (eighteen years ago)
season 3 is great cos it has fat lee, the big battle to get them off new caprica, tie as "one-eyed drunk", the genocide of the cylons ep., and some class balthar weeping
it was getting a bit bogged down and filler-y for a mo, but now onto 'the eye of jupiter' and the story's kicking back in
when does season 4 start and when does razor take place?
― czn, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 12:07 (eighteen years ago)
Season 4 starts in April. Razor takes place during the American Civil War
― latebloomer, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 15:30 (eighteen years ago)
Mostly it alternates between late season 2 and Cain's command of the Pegasus.
― latebloomer, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 15:48 (eighteen years ago)
season 3 DVDs out today...?
― Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 18:19 (eighteen years ago)
okay I have seen Season 3 now and am eagerly awaiting Season 4 where they explain WHY THEY RUINED THE SHOW WITH A SHITTY DYLAN/HENDRIX REFERENCE
― Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 24 March 2008 19:27 (eighteen years ago)
i know, rite?
― Jordan, Monday, 24 March 2008 19:28 (eighteen years ago)
I've spotted weird anachronisms before (Colonials quoting Shakespeare, for ex.) but that was so heavy-handed AND unnecessary, very lame. rest of the cliffhangar episode was pretty great actually. although not as OMG as Season 2s.
― Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 24 March 2008 19:35 (eighteen years ago)
this is heartening:
http://www.scifi.com/sfw/interviews/sfw18598.html
David Eick, what will we see in season four as we build to the conclusion of the series?
Eick: I think you're going to see one continuous story from beginning to end, unlike other seasons where we'd done a multitude of stand-alone episodes and episodes that would introduce different political movements. This is really going to be about starting from ground zero, where we left off season three, and a sprint all the way to the end. And I think the fans, really, are going to feel like they're getting their due. They're going to feel like they're finally getting the season of Battlestar Galactica that they have always wanted, where we're not worrying about inviting a new audience, necessarily. We're just really committed to finishing the story in a way that feels legitimate and at the level I think fans have come to expect.
What can you tell us about the direction of season four?
Bamber: Based on what we've already shot, you're going to see these new Cylons who've discovered they're Cylons trying to figure out what the hell they're doing and why they are where they are and what's going on. That's kind of a microcosm for what everyone is doing, basically trying to figure what they hell they're doing alive, breathing, wandering through space. It's pretty riveting space. There's no fluff. There's no stand-alone episodes. It's one big, tight arc. No fat, all muscle. All sinew and great storytelling.

sounds promising
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 15:56 (eighteen years ago)
sure, why not. but i mean basically all he said was "this season is gonna rock!" tho the no stand-alones is a relief.
― s1ocki, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 16:00 (eighteen years ago)
excited
― blueski, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 16:03 (eighteen years ago)
GET ON WITH IT
― DG, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 16:03 (eighteen years ago)
the no stand-alones is a relief.
that's mostly what I was referring to. the rest is just hype
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 16:05 (eighteen years ago)
EXCITED
― rrrobyn, Wednesday, 26 March 2008 16:14 (eighteen years ago)
people seem to forget that we last left our refugees being attacked by a massive cylon fleet without the ability to spin up their FTL drives. I just hope the resolution to that is fun, and not something solved after three minutes by Starbuck flying in saying "live together die alone" guys.
Anyway, started re-watching Season 3 with my friend who is catching up on what he has missed last night. I had forgotten how amazing that season started.

― latebloomer, Thursday, 3 April 2008 22:45 (eighteen years ago)
there is no bigger fan of this show than my wife, but yeah mom is in town to help out with baby so we're kinda stuck. my mom has a tendency to talk through movies/ask a lot of questions/start side conversations, etc.
― Shakey Mo Collier, Thursday, 3 April 2008 22:52 (eighteen years ago)
First episode is streaming on scifi.com as of noon tomorrow...

― DG, Friday, 4 April 2008 20:54 (eighteen years ago)
wtf I was channel-surfing last night and came across some hyper-fastpaced series synopsis on the sci-fi channel that went on for like 20 minutes. it was really weird.
