my friend complains a lot about the finder in lion, u notice anything weird with it?

they completely fucked up the icon view in finder.. if you sort by date modified, it creates these groups of like "less than a day ago", "more than 30 days ago" that are a single line of files you have to scroll horizontally. i just want a big ass list of icons sorted by date!!

i never use icon view, i don't really "understand" it

i have a strange use-case where i need to visually scan over and pick out an image from a huge collection of images; other than that i mostly use detail or column view

i guess if you're dealing wiht photos or wtv that's true

You can change icon view back to the normal style. I only use it for my downloads folder.

I'm on Lion. The only thing annoying is some weird animations when moving stuff around in the Finder. But otherwise I think it's great. And all my software works with it, though I had to wait forever for Xrite to update their monitor calibration software which was like 10 years old.

I have no issue with Lion other than not being able to set up spaces in a 2x2 desktop configuration which almost made me revert back but I've gotten used to.

in finder, lion made all your folders on the sidebar into ONE COLOR, it's really lame

I didn't realise but the icloud login screen is where you can create a whole new icloud apple id that's separate from your itunes apple id. Useful for when you've got multiple people sharing one itunes id but need separate icloud ids for doc/contact syncing etc. <-- TYPING THIS gave me a headache.

I have a choice of updating my dumb-phone to an iphone 4S or waiting to get iphone 5 when it's released sometime next year

Boy, getting iCloud/Apple to verify my AppleID is a pain. Still waiting on them to send me an email. Otherwise everything else running smoothly.

I logged into icloud (from the mac) using my itunes apple id. It fartarsed around for a while, said "INCORRECT PASSWORD" in big red letters for a while, then just logged in as though nothing had ever happened.

Yeah, nothing quite so smooth like that. Still gives me a 'resent verification email' option and then of course refuses to actually deliver one.

'Resend' rather. Anyway.

My email came through. iOS 5 never installed for me, mind.

don't currently use an ios device, and i use spotify for my music, so i've had no need for it for a while. i deleted it a while back and didn't have a reason to get a new one until now, when i want to test out icloud stuff

iphone all set up and I'm up to the icloud backup setup screen where it's failing but because the language is still in CHINESE i have no idea what the fuck is going on

so apparently i have an icloud problem that the other 250 million ios users haven't had

mac os x lion is worth the $30. gestures and mission control are key tho: swiping from desktop to full-screen iTunes to dashboard is fundamentally easier than Expose/Spaces. I spend less time on the computer now b/c of it.

xp even apple hates the apple tv. it hardly seems worth getting excited about.

I never used Spaces before, so I'm still struggling to figure how to get the most of multiple desktops, etc. - I assume you put iTunes on full-screen as a separate desktop?
