Oddly enough, I think it's Shirley I'm going to miss the most.

Apparently he's one of Louis CK's best friends. When Louis when on the USO tours that inspired the Afghanistan episode of his show this season, he brought Dino just for company and had to explain that they weren't lovers.

dan selzer, Tuesday, 15 November 2011 21:08 (twelve years ago) link

Wow. When I read CK's tour diaries I had no idea it was the same guy. And I had no idea that he was the creator of Moral Orel as well!

Dude, yeah. Dino "Starburns" Stamatopoulos is all over Mr. Show if you watch closely. He's also the co-creator of Moral Orel and one of the original writers on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. Dude's talented.

Don't make me slap you like Dean Pelton would love to slap Jeff Winger:

rule that needs to be added to journalism style guides: "when attempting to write about something comedic, do not try to be funny."

Mordy, Wednesday, 16 November 2011 01:52 (twelve years ago) link

Guys here is basically what happened, got it on a source from NBC, basically the network thought they'd do this fake-out just so they could see what the reaction would be, and so it's totally up to you guys to raise a fuss about this so NBC will get the picture that yo word up there are Community fans out there and they're excited and passionate about the characters and more important the BRAND of community that Dan Harmon has built up over the last couple years, and once they get that signal, they'll be all WORD UP guys we're bringing Community back to NBC, God's honest truth.

Was going to buy the second DVD box tonight and they didn't even have it.

Spent the thirty bucks on the Lego Hoth set instead. Feel ok about this.

Mordy, Friday, 18 November 2011 01:16 (twelve years ago) link

No it is static-y

Also I count two perfectly good gags cocked up by dumb elaborations so far

Simon H., Friday, 18 November 2011 01:18 (twelve years ago) link

i'm getting the static too, even on the commercials.

Also, Brie's got great crazy eyes.

What's with this and Parks & Rev having 'we need to redesign our marketing' storylines at the same time? Next they'll both be having Model UN eps.

aghhhh so good why are they killing/hiding/wtf my show

Janet Snakehole (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 18 November 2011 06:27 (twelve years ago) link

would the above comment make more sense to me if i'd seen tonight's ep?

phantompenguin, Friday, 18 November 2011 06:46 (twelve years ago) link

God this was great. I thought the early mention of HoD was tipping their hand a bit too much until Guzman brought it up again.

Also, I'm happy that at least they actually got to broadcast an ep featuring Luis.

Ultimately, I want this show to go 4 seasons just to complete its original built-in narrative arc. If they can somehow make it to 5 just to hit the syndication number and make a payday for all involved, that'll be okay too.

I liked how Insane Annie acted more like Alison's true age than just twenty years old.
