Bosworth plays it tough.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:35 (nineteen years ago) link

her character was so weak and annoying! it was a BETRAYAL!

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:36 (nineteen years ago) link

No way, Blue Crush ruled. I think The Craft fucking blows though.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:36 (nineteen years ago) link

Also Dean, don't you think she looks, er, "healthy" in the most recent pix? Otherwise, maybe we should say something!

Next time you're dancing, lean over and let her know that I think she has an unhealthy amount of freckles. She needs to either wear less revealing clothing or she needs to stay inside more. If L-Lo gets skin cancer, then Hilary Duff is going to want skin cancer and pretty soon they'll all be all cancered up.

urban in nature (deangulberry), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:36 (nineteen years ago) link

and the cgi faces looked TERRIBLE!!

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:36 (nineteen years ago) link

bring it on RULES over all of these movies

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:37 (nineteen years ago) link

Bosworth had lots of charisma in Win a Date with Todd Hamilton!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:37 (nineteen years ago) link

If they are still making these movies when I am in my 80s, I predict that I will die of a heart attack in a second-run theater.

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:37 (nineteen years ago) link

i didn't see win a date

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:37 (nineteen years ago) link

Dean that is a very good point. I certainly would not encourage Lohan to spend much time at the beach or even poolside. I am not in the least concerned about Duff.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:39 (nineteen years ago) link

s1ocki, it had its moments.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:39 (nineteen years ago) link

Is The Perfect Score worth renting?

milozauckerman (miloaukerman), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:39 (nineteen years ago) link

Spencer, forgive me for saying this, but I find it very cute that you defend Lindsay whenever someone trashes her. Honestly!

Je4nne ƒur¥ (Je4nne Fury), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:40 (nineteen years ago) link

Plan B, dude. Plan B.

urban in nature (deangulberry), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:40 (nineteen years ago) link

Spencer, forgive me for saying this, but I find it very cute that you defend Lindsay whenever someone trashes her. Honestly!

I must second this. Between her and MIA I suspect Spencer is a 24-hour paladin.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:42 (nineteen years ago) link

I was curious about the Perfect Score, but SJ got so grown up on us so fast... It's very hard to perv on her for some reason.

Jimmy Mod Is Great At Getting Us Into Trouble (ModJ), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:43 (nineteen years ago) link

You guys like some trash!

The best part of any of these films that I've sat through was when the one cheerleader was nervous and she puked on her coaches' face. That shit amuses me.

TOMBOT, Friday, 10 June 2005 19:44 (nineteen years ago) link

s1ocki SO OTM about Bring It On, though.

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:44 (nineteen years ago) link

Yeah, Bring It On = pretty damned great.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:44 (nineteen years ago) link

Someone tell that bozo upthread that freckles are natural for some ethnic groups and probably protect people who are otherwise really white from sun overexposure. They're pigment, duh.

bob n0pe (bobnope), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:44 (nineteen years ago) link

Somebody tell that bozo to puke on coach's face! Oh yeah!

TOMBOT, Friday, 10 June 2005 19:46 (nineteen years ago) link

It's weird that you've named yourself after Bob Hope but seem to have no sense of humor! (xp - tom wins)

urban in nature (deangulberry), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:46 (nineteen years ago) link

I am married to a befreckled. It's great.

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:49 (nineteen years ago) link

Plan B, dude. Plan B.

Duff is not one of my "favorites."

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:49 (nineteen years ago) link

It's weird that you've named yourself after Bob Hope but seem to have no sense of humor!

Actually, there's nothing weird about that at all!

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:52 (nineteen years ago) link

haha

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:53 (nineteen years ago) link

So...nobody saw DEBS?

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:54 (nineteen years ago) link

shame.

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 19:54 (nineteen years ago) link

What's DEBS? Is it like BAPS?

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:04 (nineteen years ago) link

Between her and MIA I suspect Spencer is a 24-hour paladin.

These are not the only people I feel like I have to stand up for in the face of a lot of kneejerk negativity (much of it vicious) around here. Also, it's not really defending them as individuals (they don't need me for that - I've seen Lohan's security detail). It feels more like setting things straight and adding "for the record" remarks because I feel like lots of throwaway negative posts undermine the value of ILX as a resource and probably scares off potential interesting/funny/open minded posters. I'll probably throw in the towel when the defending takes up too much of my time. For now though it's fun.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:05 (nineteen years ago) link

I made Nick go see Drive Me Crazy with me when it first came out, but it turned out it was just a little under the age range I was hoping for (compared to the rest in this genre we're inventing here). When the credits rolled and the theme song started blaring, I looked around and saw that we were surrounded by singing/dancing 8-9 year olds who knew ALL the words... standing beside their moms.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:06 (nineteen years ago) link

DEBS

Ebert liked "the first ten minutes"!

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:06 (nineteen years ago) link

Is The Girl Next Door in this genre? Because I really liked that one too.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:06 (nineteen years ago) link

That must be great! Add it to my list.

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:07 (nineteen years ago) link

Good for you, Spencer!

I'll carry on defending Paris Hilton on here too.

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:08 (nineteen years ago) link

Yay Comrade!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:09 (nineteen years ago) link

It's weird that you've named yourself after Bob Hope but seem to have no sense of humor!

I don't see how you could possibly know this about me, Dean.

bob n0pe (bobnope), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:10 (nineteen years ago) link

Freckles are "TEH HOTTNESS!!!" (did I say that correctly?)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:12 (nineteen years ago) link

Yes.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:13 (nineteen years ago) link

Actually, there's nothing weird about that at all!

yeah i was making that point but didn't phrase it well enough ;..

something about a tarantula coming out of a coconut (deangulberry), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:17 (nineteen years ago) link

Please explain your new handle there, which I adore.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:21 (nineteen years ago) link

I love Bring It On. But I also liked Princess Diaries and that one with Mandy Moore so maybe I just like crap.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:22 (nineteen years ago) link

I think I like crap too. I like lots of different genres of crap though. I'm like the Renaisance woman of crappy movies.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:24 (nineteen years ago) link

Read "TEH" noise board much, ned?

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:25 (nineteen years ago) link

Someone explain to jocelyn and Sarah what is really being discussed here...

the D Double signal (nordicskilla), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:25 (nineteen years ago) link

Perving?

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:27 (nineteen years ago) link

I just put two and two together.

x-post

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:28 (nineteen years ago) link

Princess Diaries was great!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:28 (nineteen years ago) link

A Walk To Remember is the best movie of this millenium.

milozauckerman (miloaukerman), Friday, 10 June 2005 20:54 (nineteen years ago) link

I feel that Milo and myself (and probably Jimmy The Mod) are coming from the same place.
