pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:14 (twelve years ago) link

vdv nor sandro could have complaint tbh, each has been worse than absent

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:15 (twelve years ago) link

what's the over/under on the number of 'mental strength' mentions post match?
This isn't a good result for LFC but it's made me laugh nonetheless.

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:16 (twelve years ago) link

should prob mention how good arsenal's midfield have been btw, aside from ours not bothering

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:17 (twelve years ago) link

giggs scored

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:20 (twelve years ago) link

utd doing what utd does

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:20 (twelve years ago) link

bye bye parker

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:20 (twelve years ago) link

Incredible scenes. Reminded me of that Ronaldo winner against Fulham a few years back

Number None, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:20 (twelve years ago) link

no parker vs Utd next week

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:21 (twelve years ago) link

what could make it a worse day for 'arry?

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:21 (twelve years ago) link

dmac otm, once dean decided parker's tackle was the one he was taking his card out for in the first half, that was always gonna happen.

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:21 (twelve years ago) link

Seriously I have never seen Rosicky play this well.

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:22 (twelve years ago) link

redknapp for england

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:22 (twelve years ago) link

it wont happen again

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:22 (twelve years ago) link

Top lad Scotty. Top lad.

Upt0eleven, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:23 (twelve years ago) link

Bring on Spain at the Euros. You gotta have a go.

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:23 (twelve years ago) link

'arry looking miserable and lost on the bench gives me visions of another quarter final gubbing in the euros for england by germany or someone.

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:24 (twelve years ago) link

Think we've got Arsenal next week. God knows what to expect.

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:24 (twelve years ago) link

pfunk otm

Can't wait for the DVD.

James Mitchell, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:25 (twelve years ago) link

nah, q-finals? pffff.
xp

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:26 (twelve years ago) link

can't see ye being this woeful pandemic, 'solid yet uninspired' isn't what arsenal want to be playing, 'we're too good to defend' is suiting them today from us tho

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:26 (twelve years ago) link

I've given up trying to guess how we will play, i think Arsenal fans probably think the same. so fuck knows.
I'm dreading kenny miller scoring today

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:26 (twelve years ago) link

james, enjoy yr dvd of a 5-2 win against ten men with the ref giving a dodge early penalty

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:27 (twelve years ago) link

Means a draw no good for us next week, which is a worry considering that's all we do at home.

pandemic, Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:29 (twelve years ago) link

fair play arsenal, better everywhere all game tbf. Even our counters were lazy/cocky at 2-0

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:29 (twelve years ago) link

United at home, Everton away, Chelsea away. We could quite easily lose every league game until April.

This is up there as one of the most depressing footballing days I can remember.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:29 (twelve years ago) link

Wish I hadn't watched that off the back of a particularly bad two day hangover.

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:31 (twelve years ago) link

451 would have been good today i reckon, but still think 442 at home vs utd is a decent shout, if bale stays left and lennon plays.

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:31 (twelve years ago) link

Could do with a mental Farenheit 451 so this game doesn't fuck the rest of the season.

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:44 (twelve years ago) link

DENCH

the jeremy lin of YANIV (cozen), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:49 (twelve years ago) link

did the teams come out to Motorhead there?

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 15:56 (twelve years ago) link

No national anthem, so Motorhead. Yeah, that makes sense.

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:00 (twelve years ago) link

Better anthem if you ask me

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:03 (twelve years ago) link

No argument here!

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:05 (twelve years ago) link

tbf i'd take almost anything over god save the queen. but y'know motorhead!

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:08 (twelve years ago) link

All those sponsorship patches makes the shirts look like F1 overalls.

James Mitchell, Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:10 (twelve years ago) link

I underestimated the winning margin by one goal

I wonder if Spurs slide now - and in a strwange way, Stevenage game will have been the turning point

agree that this kind of thing makes 'England need Redknapp' seem daft and reminds me that I haven't always been keen on him myself, though on balance see that he has overseen good times

the pinefox, Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:21 (twelve years ago) link

wonder if Spurs without Redknapp should bid for O'Neill
perhaps I am stating the obvious or the wisdom of 2003

the pinefox, Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:22 (twelve years ago) link

so predictable that goal

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:22 (twelve years ago) link

LOL.

Maybe I should work through all our games.

Still think 'Wenger out' because lol going two down to Spurs at home wtf is wrong with you. But putting 5 past Spurs and getting rid of Arshavin in the same week... if he hires a high profile defensive coach I'll promise not to say 'wenger out' again until St. Arseringham Day.

But LOL... letting Walcott put 2 past you in the worst patch of form he may have ever had. Redknapp for England - he's knows how to get the best out of him!

a hoy hoy, Sunday, 26 February 2012 16:24 (twelve years ago) link

walcott was rank but took two good goals and iirc forced another two good efforts just wide.

Rosicky and benayoun kinda killed us, sagna also vg

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 17:46 (twelve years ago) link

  • that was ridiculous
  • has nobody pressed Spurs all season? They just fell to bits
  • Walcott was rubbish, but took his goals well. Tbf I'd've fancied myself to score those if I could run a bit faster
  • Parker showed his limitations I thought. It's like he decides where he's going to go before he gets the ball. If you press him hard, he'll present you with the ball 50% of the time. Modric is so much more agile
  • Rosicky's finish looked very classy, but
  • Arsenal wasteful as ever until Spurs gave up. Spurs looked far more clinical, despite everything. If they hadn't got a fifth I'd've still fancied Spurs to come back
  • hahaha

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 26 February 2012 18:15 (twelve years ago) link

I took a walk through the old Highbury after the final whistle. It looks pretty good, classily done. One of the flats has a Liverpool flag draped across its balcony doors, which is a nice touch.
