OK, I will be in TJs in an hour or so, I am low-carbing as mentioned on another thread, and I need a good snack.

Frozen palak paneer if you want something hot. Cheese and various salumi for something cold. The super high % dark chocolate bars aren't too bad w/r/t carbs if you can limit yourself to eating 2 or 3 sections. Avocados.

The frozen paneer is great too. Certainly the best prepackaged version I've had.

not low-carb, but: the raisin-rosemary crisps are amazing. i wish i was having a party soon so i could pass these around.

Wasabi seaweed snax!

I am a big fan of the frozen palak paneer

most of these suggestions came too late, will try next time, esp wasabi seaweed snax which sounds amazing. In fact I didn't really get much snack except artichoke-parmesan dip, but I did get a tri-tip roast and a tub of hollandaise sauce and I gotta say this made a fine family meal with very little expenditure of effort on my part.

just bought valencia peanut butter w/ roasted flaxseeds -- what to eat with it? unfortunately all i have is an orange.

I like to put this on these bagel-based "power bar" things they sell in my supermarket's bakery - they've got dried fruit and seeds in them, it works really well.

Alternately just spread it on some saltines but keep a bucket of water handy cause you'll be thirsty.

not a fan of trader joe's to begin with but man these jelly beans i got in this gift basket are ATROCIOUS

fact that liquorice seems to outnumber everything else in this box isn't helping

Yeah I ended up getting rid of my jar of it because it was too dangerous; clear I would OD.

So weird: Put together ingredients and bake cookies that are then disintegrated to make them an ingredient in another thing - will the speculoos chain grow? The obvious use for a sweet paste is in cookies --- cookies within cookies!

They have a candy bar filled with it, which is awesome. Now they just have to make a cookie with chunks of the candy bar baked into it.

Finished products used as ingredients have always seemed weird to me. Even stuffing/dressing is odd.

OTOH, I'm kind of a master of combining independently complete foods, so it shouldn't seem that strange to me.

I'm having an existential crisis.

Let me just say that the frozen turkey meatballs are the best I've had outside of my Abruzzo-born great grandmother's kitchen. Like, for any meatball period, not just turkey.

I had those tonight based on all the recommendations in thuds thread. Yum! A little salty, as tj products tend to be.

Thuds thread? And yeah I can kinda see them being a tad on the salty side, but not overwhelmingly so.

Yeh, I agree with Jordan (and Jeff, I'm sure). The meatballs are not salty in my opinion.

I thought I was weird for loving those meatballs! I'm glad to get confirmation that they actually are very good.

I think basically anything I don't make from scratch seems too salty to me.

tried the chicken mole (from the freezer section). it was good, but a little goes a long way. the sauce is very thick and complex.

I'll chime in again for the Chicken Gorgonzola (frozen section). Large enough for three servings.

Those thai lime & chili cashews reappeared after having been sold out. I bought two packages.

their lentil wrap is just okay but i would drink a gallon of the accompanying spicy tahini sauce.

and i've said it before, but the pumpernickel pretzel sticks are awesome -- they're crying out for a nice sharp fondue or at least a "pub cheese."

the trader joe's pub cheese is gross. it's just cheez whiz.
