every time i go to the supermarket i ~almost~ get suckered into buying those baby zucch and baby sunburst squash and baby cauli - they're so TINY AND CUTE!!! but they're like 5x the price of normal size veg

they had miniature corn at the co-op the other day, in tiny husks and everything!

baby carrots are awesome

so are snacks

In all honesty, I eat every 4 to 5 hours, so if I know I'm not eating dinner until 8 I will prob eat a snack at 4 or so but if I'm not eating until 6/7, I won't have a snack. And if I'm out and about, gah, that is why I need to remember to put almonds in my bag.

Seriously though I don't understand non-snackers. I eat lunch around 12:30 or 1 most days and by 4 I am starving. If I don't have something small then I'd have a headache by 5. Maybe I'm eating the wrong things or at the wrong times or something. idk.

do you guys wish that snacking wasn't allowed inside so you could take snack breaks the same way smokers get to take smoke breaks? you get to lean against the building with shades on bumming baby carrots from a coworker all saying you gotta quit someday.

baby carrots + hummus all the way, no brakes. i made some hummus and bought baby carrots the other day so i have some waiting for me right now! i know they are weird repurposed and overpackaged carrot bits, but still i love them. actual carrots are good too.

I also just got back from 5 days at my friends' organic vegetable farm

meals are either snacks or feasts, nothing in-between

If my lunch is at noon and is snack size and dinner is at 7:30 or later then there will be a 4:30 snack

Carrots are really great, possibly underrated

carrots really taste better juiced, probably because of all that sugar that's released somehow.

usually I will forget to have a snack and be dying by 6:30 but will carry on without food for the snack window has closed

I'd be chewing on the furniture mid afternoon if it wasn't for <3 snacks <3

my snack militancy and regulated times btwn meals/snacks is because if i freely snack, i will be in physical pain (nausea due to blood-sugar wackiness and/or digestive inflammation, which i can only describe as a painful tightness that only goes away with time (rather than with some other bodily function...), so pain is kind of a motivator there.
so keep having fun with all your snacking, you pain-free lucky bastards.

I have sensitive teeth and a love of carrots so I use my mandoline to slice em into coins
Then I can trick myself into thinking they're chocolate coins

its weird how humans evolved to get headaches and cranky if they didnt eat exactly on time everyday

they were probably cranky before but never go to talk about it on the internet

ugh i tried this for the first time recently and they were SO GROSS - the texture was mushy and just ugh

maybe u did not freeze them for long enough
