healthy snack ideas

carrots really taste better juiced, probably because of all that sugar that's released somehow.

usually I will forget to have a snack and be dying by 6:30 but will carry on without food for the snack window has closed

I'd be chewing on the furniture mid afternoon if it wasn't for <3 snacks <3

my snack militancy and regulated times btwn meals/snacks is because if i freely snack, i will be in physical pain (nausea due to blood-sugar wackiness and/or digestive inflammation, which i can only describe as a painful tightness that only goes away with time (rather than with some other bodily function...), so pain is kind of a motivator there.
so keep having fun with all your snacking, you pain-free lucky bastards.

I have sensitive teeth and a love of carrots so I use my mandoline to slice em into coins

its weird how humans evolved to get headaches and cranky if they didnt eat exactly on time everyday

I had no idea, until recently, that prunes were dried plums. Not sure how you get juice out of a dried fruit but w/e.

I don't eat enough dried fruit/jerky to buy a dehydrator.

Besides, making THAT much dried fruit would tempt me to eat that much dried fruit which = bathroom sadness

frozen grapes should not have mushy texture. they are more like artillery shells.

on frozen bananas front:
frozen bananas with skins -- deadly weapon
frozen bananas without skins -- bruising weapon
i fooled two people with banana-based ice cream but one person went "this is just bananas!"

Not come across this moroccan delicacy before i don't think but it is really tasty though this version's supposedly a lot less hot than what you'd get in North Africa. mainly peppers and garlic in olive oil apparently. yummy anyway.
