i'd replace mike hanley with the pinefox and possibly doom patrol with nicole, if only to make things more gender equitable.

Sadly I must to Stoke Newington Church Street for a curry with Ben Thompson.

"an uncynical and simple heart" vs "sex is really a deeper form of communication"
Paul and Helen = thick as pigshit. And as annoying as having it all over your shoes.
― Johnathan, Monday, 16 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link
Or am I just sentimentalising a certain glam- bitch quickness?
HOWEVER... Brian also = the H-from-STEPS of BB (ie the only one who looks like he enjoys/was born to be on BB). Which is classic.
Ultimately undecideable.
― DG, Monday, 16 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link
P = dim but VERY ODD. D & E = quite dull (right through). B = [undecided].
Paul: Textbook pseudo-cool pseudo-intelligent wanker.eg P: "I feel much more in control now"Ama: "Of yourself, yeah?"P: "Yeah...and the rest of the group"A: "Wha?"P: "I'm so in control here"
Helen: Whimsical and charming. She can be a bit "thick" sometimes, but that's no reason to hate her. I'm alarmed if it is.
Ama: Fantastically intelligent or A-Level deep and meaningful?
Elizabeth: Is it because she's quiet? She seems nice enough, though admittedly she's dull on TV. Ditto Dean.
Brian: The major stereotype BB1 was missing was a raving homosexual. Problem solved.

Dean and Elisabeth biggest cultural snobs in house - but have you ever seen 'em reading? Dear old Josh, by contrast, always seemed to have a book on the go.

I agree with stevie.t about you all being weird for judging people according to their intelligence. That might turn into another thread. Fuck off with your hothouse brainiac child-rearing tactics and intellectual snobbery.
* does everyone else fantasise about being in the BB house with them?
― Nick, Tuesday, 17 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-two years ago) link
Having a go at them for being S Club 7 snobs is much the same as having a go at people for being Smiths snobs - which of course is what ILM is all about. But we only see what C4 give us. I've watched a few hours on E4 and I've got to say that Elizabeth is hilarious. The only problem is she hides her fantastically bitchy snide comments in the middle of very long conversation.
I've really enjoyed this years Big Brother (mainly because it has finally given me an impression that I can do - Helen) but the final victor is a foregone conclusion and Brian has it.

How can you hate Helen? She's so endearing! And I normally don't like other girls very much.
Why is this the first thread that has got to 30 posts without mutating?
I am Baronness of Chester, I *ORDER* thee to mutate!

We briefly revived an old CBB thread but I don't think anyone cares. I have just turned over to see Denise Welch naked in a hot tub with Frankie Cocozza, so I'm glad I haven't seen much more.

Apparently, that's been the "highlight" so far.
AWarhol's "In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes" should be postscripted ", and no-one will know who anybody is"
