took me a while to interpret this, thinking this was a cop and there was some complex statement being made about how the government is robbing cops of the power to fight back with all this non-lethal defensive stuff...but actually it's about everyday citizens "needing" all this gear to protect them from all the bullets flying around? which sounds like a good argument for gun control but i don't think it is.

I looked up the salary of a doctor I did some work for. His salary at the teaching hospital alone was $300k.

i know a lot of first year big law associates working in larger markets who start out at 180k. i imagine after a few years they're doing a quarter mil pretty easily?
