yeah somehow ryan and dalia have gone from funny one note characters to my fave and most consistently surprising characters on the shows (while still being the same characters). loved that ryan 'got' the art film and tessa didn't. love when dalia goes on an extended burn, like her revenge plan for tessa last season or her reaction to her mother's blowtox last week.

this was pretty good. looks promising.

This week's The Americans was all about Ronald Reagan getting shot and the subsequent Alexander Haig "coup". I really like this dumb show.

Any one else catch the premiere of Cult on the CW network, a show about a TV show featuring a cult that may have real-world implications? I liked it enough to keep watching, hope I remember to.

ABC Wed night comedies continue to be solidly entertaining with The Middle emerging as the leader

Community is doing an Inspector Spacetime convention episode tonight and just thinking about it is making me die a little inside.

Community really loses its focus when the stories aren't tied to the school or a class IMO, aside from instances where the cast chemistry overcomes the displacement like Troy's birthday outing

I saw a clip on The Daily Show and even Jon Stewart was like ... afterwards

ok so the last whitney was a Very Special Episode where her sister comes out as transgender and decides to undergo surgery. I'm actually sort of impressed.

whitney somehow went from being excruciating in the first season to settling into a decent groove. like never aiming high, but not really falling flat either.

they just sort of parachuted in the sister out of nowhere (not a series regular) so i don't think this is something that's going to be around every episode. pretty clumsy plotting (the show consistently has clumsy plotting). its somehow still cool for a network sitcom to deal with this.

Was out sick today and caught up on the first two episodes of The Americans like I'd been meaning to do for weeks. Officially hooked now. Will probably burn through the rest of the backlog asap and catch up on this week's episode this weekend.
