i've seen things you people wouldn't believe.hollandaise sauce on omelets. i watctched c-span. i saw you (and him) walking in the rain. don't go lookin in that closet, you ain't got nothin in there. i've had the time of my life.

broken promises

i will recount three (3) extremely cute events:

1. my across-the-hall neighbor and i were discussing our summer plans. he said, "i have to go back to china. i miss my mom."
2. my dumb-kid astronomy class (astro 102), is very difficult for me (i'm a dumb kid). the lab component is especially difficult, for me, and for others. half of the class is dumb like me, and we try to bum answers off of the smart kids (the other half of the class). there is all kinds of insane math involved that half of us cannot do. it's always a damn free-for-all in there. anyway, i worked with some very smart, very nice kids last week. they shared their answers with me. i thanked them at the end of lab, and the nice, smart boy looked at me, knowingly, and said, "we gotta stick together in astro 102!" -- i'm a history major (early mid-east civilization and ALL of east asia). i don't like stars and math and shit!
3. it was a rainy ass day on campus. it was like, all of these kids had never seen rain before! it was like a panic! umbrellas everywhere, collisions all over! everyone so panicky over a little rain! at 5:00pm, after our last class, a nice girl and i ran out of the auditorium to a big window showing the rain all over the street. we were looking out. she asked me how far i had to walk, and i said, "oh, just over to that bus". and, she offered to walk me there under her umbrella! i stupidly declined, because i had an umbrella! it was in my bag, and then i showed it to her. me so dumb -- could have made a new friend!

then, i got drunk with pet shop boys and paramore. not cute :(

shockingly sad realization: "machinehead" by bush is the single that swervedriver would have killed for. life isn't fair, and is full of people that will take advantage of you and your talents.

this kind of drunk u get where it's the only time u remember yr password, it is the opposite of the normal kind

i get kind of frustrated with people for not realizing how lonely i am. i wish that the people that i pass on the Diag really knew how lonely i was, i get kind of mad at them when no one has any clue how lonely i am. maybe someone would do something about it. i can't help it. i don't really like talking about it. i had to take some years off college after my dad died, and then everything got all depressed and weird. and then i was there for my 28 year old special needs sister (she's more like 8). i never wanted to go to college because it was my older, special sister's dream. (she can never go, she's really slow.) i never wanted to move ahead of her. i'm her younger brother, she doesn't understand why i go to college and she doesn't. then, i just fucking left. i go to one of the name brand universities in the u.s., but, i i don't have any friends. i'm a few years older than everyone here, and from a small town. i'm about 5 years older than most of my classmates. it's not that i really want to be friends with them. i just want friends. i don't feel like i deserve to be an outcast. i'm smarter than most of them, i, just hate everything, and i drink too much.

People use alcohol to get up the nerve to do a lot of things: talk to girls, get in fights, dangerous stunts, whatever. For me, it takes getting drunk to do serious house cleaning. Last night a pint of Tanqueray had me on my hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen floor. A kitchen floor that, when I looked at it sober, the best I could do was scowl at.
