I started disliking Patrick Stewart when he did his campaign about violence in movies involving women, it seemed sexist and misguided to me (from what he said, it seemed like he particularly objected to women kicking ass onscreen, he used Kill Bill as his main example) but learning about the sad story of his horrible early childhood, that seems easier to forgive.
But then he makes fun of James Corden's weight in front of an audience and he looks like a prick again.

Is there a Parker Posey fanclub here? I only ever see her mentioned on this forum. Not that I have a problem with her.

I think Christopher Lee is totally charming but apparently he comes off really bad in a book about the making of Wicker Man.
I've found some of his opinions suspect. Especially when he talked about dangerous pagans in modern times.

Michael Palin again. I'm not a Python expert but I always got the impression most of them annoyed each other in the way most collaborative groups who've spent so many years together grow sick of each other yet still basically love each other.

Samuel L Jackson?

Steve Buscemi?

Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Lam Ching Ying and probably a bunch more Hong Kong actors.

Louis Theroux. But since he goes into all different sorts of communities, he attracts the attention of diverse groups. I thought nobody would hate him but loads of right wing bigots do.

I think Rolf Harris would have been a contender a few years ago but it turns out he is scum.

I just searched her and she has several threads here. She must be more famous in America because I've seen her in several films but didn't remember or know who she was until a 8 months ago.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Thursday, 17 July 2014 19:27 (nine years ago) link

she is so famous in america that she cannot buy groceries without someone handing her a hand painted likeness

There's got to be lots of people who hate every racial group (and a few people who just hate humans in general), so can't we leave blanket racial prejudices out of it?

Robert Adam Gilmour, Thursday, 17 July 2014 21:13 (nine years ago) link

not his fault, but I think a lot of people actively dislike Wilder by association because of these
