I don't think you were watching then. Of course he aired his talking points: that's what political candidates do when they talk. But Letterman had him on the ropes for the entire interview.

I think Palin's response to Letterman, which is to turn this joke into a discussion about perverted old pedophiles and the jokes they make, is really low and funny.

"The Palins have no intention of providing a ratings boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show," Stapelton said in an email to ABC News. "Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman."
