don't really have a problem w/ this casting tbh. Is there any reason to think it won't be Elizabeth Moss for the female lead?

i liked the lil bit of Metcalf's show i saw. daniel stern's her husband!

farrell's like clive owen (ostensibly charming british actor america just REFUSES to pay money to see) where classy cable may just be the thing for him, and its not kitsch's fault Savages, John Carter and Battleship came out the same year, but man oh man oh man oh man Vince Vaughn

Laurie Metcalf not only has an HBO show already but she's also in a really, reeeeeally shitty looking CBS sitcom starting this fall.

anyway i see no reason to think season 2 would be any worse than 1 based on some casting announcements did anyone think it wouldn't be like this

i thought they'd cast ONE actor that has at least Woody Harrelson level thespian credibility with audiences

would take Clive Owen over Farrell any day

Ray Velcro is a weird name for a detective

y'know as a buffer from the fact that they're already going to be dealing with a new setting, new cast, etc etc

haven't seen Farrell in anything post-New World except for Gilliam's Dr Parnassus and Jordan's Ondine, but he's pretty skilled for such a gorgeous slab.

again this may well be the bee's knees and i'm sure hbo is grateful for every optimist who can't fathom why anyone would see this creative change-over as anything to raise hackles over

Harrelson is a pretty terrific actor compared to walking-dead hacks like Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino

i'm a lot more down w/ casting farrell than vaughan

vince vaughan will be really interesting i think! he has this quickness. & that kinda unbeautiful frame thing, like intimidating bulk & but too sorta sloppy to be intimidating.

i guess i didn't think S1 was good enough to worry at all about S2

Farrell perfectly capable of playing the standard "in over his head" noir gumshoe--no idea what he'll be playing tho of course. Never liked vaughn in anything so I hope the character something new for him.
