I assume this NYT headline "Can Liberal Zionists Count On Hillary Clinton?" is a joke right

“Can you smell the English leather on this guy, the Aqua Velva, the sort of mature man’s shaving cream, or whatever, you know, after he shaved? Do you smell that sort of–a little bit of cigar smoke?”

President Obama says he “loves” the Bush family personally and that former Florida governor and possible 2016 presidential candidate Jeb Bush has “every right” to run in 2016.

The tone of the Q was something like "must we endure another Bush-Clinton reality show?"

This shitty slap fight is hilarious. And this tweet is the best.

Senator @marcorubio is acting like an isolationist who wants to retreat to our borders and perhaps build a moat. I reject this isolationism.

I was gonna say, isn't Rand a total isolationist re: foreign policy

Οὖτις, Friday, 19 December 2014 19:53 (nine years ago) link

he's prob using the word deliberately; i recall his dad saying a few times that the real "isolationists" were the ones who rejected dialogue and diplomacy in favor of military action in every situation

In 2016, clear choice, or clear trauma?

One outcome of and proof for ideological polarization is the way it has made stalwarts appear like centrists. In what world is Hillary Clinton — feminist heroine, author of Hillarycare, sworn enemy of the vast right-wing conspiracy — not progressive enough?

aaaahahahahaha. two sentences in!

Mittens only won his party's nomination once. If he is now 'considering' another run, it basically means he's hoping that a ton of party bigwigs and moneybags will beg him to run again and they'll all but promise him the nomination if he runs. Won't happen.

two weeks pass...

“He has been reluctant to speak too openly on the campaign trail about his faith out of a concern that people would believe his motivation for running was based on an attempt to convert others to his faith,” said Tagg Romney, the eldest of Mitt and Ann’s five adult sons.

No, I don't think that's what was rubbing people the wrong way at all.

Evangelicals weren't concerned about Mitt Romney showing up on their doorstep with a necktie and short-sleeve shirt. They opposed Romney because they believe LDS is a weird non-canon aberration of Christianity.

In the end, much of the GOP base went with him instead of Obama not because they thought Obama would try to turn the United States into Black America, but because he was black.
