Holy crap, that rules.
And I never noticed the people eating the huge sub. I don't know why, but eating a massive sandwich on the subway sounds really appealing.

This is my current favorite show. So funny, and not all mean-spirited/hostile toward the leads...
― schwantz, Friday, 13 February 2015 18:03 (nine years ago) link
You know how in sitcoms and stuff there are like fake auctions to win dates with celebs and stuff (maybe this actually happens irl but I don't think it does). I want to win a friend date with A & I. Is that weird? That's probably really weird.

Omg you're right!
I rewatched the mail ep last night and was dying at "Garol" all over again.
― Benson and the Jets (ENBB), Monday, 16 February 2015 13:11 (nine years ago) link
What a genius ep. I always had this pet theory that cell phones killed New York, because there are always dozens of things going on any given night, anyway, but suddenly people had the means to look for something better as soon as they got where they were going. Like, "great party, what else is going on?" This ep pushed that to the perfect FOMO extreme. Funny, well-acted, Lincoln (loved the cab exit) and gym guy and no Bevers.

A writer on the Irish Independent called this show "darkly humorous" uhh what?

aw <3 kyp malone i should give that new record another chance

Loved this ep, too. Great use of secondary characters that did not distract from the central pair of stars, especially given dog wedding had every potential to be as obnoxious as wedding episode last season. Cracked up at the endless rainbow flag from the bag and also Abbi kicking the ball back with a rollerblade on and predictably but hilariously taking a spill. Also, heartened by the lack of a blurred nudity gag.
― Josh in Chicago, Friday, 20 February 2015 13:01 (nine years ago) link
abby trying to pinch/shift the physical photos was a good gag
― johnny crunch, Friday, 20 February 2015 14:56 (nine years ago) link
i liked the ribbon gag so much i was hopnig she'd find another one
― king of ilx's ice hockey/soccer venn intersection (Will M.), Friday, 20 February 2015 15:09 (nine years ago) link
I hoped the ribbon gag would be endless, like Steve Martin pouring coffee in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, but it was perfect as it was.

Seriously, that dude is great. Got to love a show where a gay hispanic dude and a straight black guy are taking turns playing Rose in Titanic.

Huge fan of the show, about to finish the first season. How's the second one?
― Van Horn Street, Friday, 27 February 2015 03:16 (nine years ago) link
Took them an episode or two to warm back up but it's great so far.

(If you hate Bevers, though, there's a bit more of him than last season in two episodes.)
second season is straight fire

― (•̪●) (carne asada), Friday, 27 February 2015 03:42 (nine years ago) link
I just watched it like 5 minutes ago so that's a testament to my incredible memory
one thing that I like about this show is the # of jokes that would make zero sense to someone who isn't living in nyc in 2015, or at least someone who knows the city pretty well
surely this limits its overall potential though
― iatee, Friday, 27 February 2015 03:47 (nine years ago) link
Murray Hill -> Williamsburg pretty good.
― dan selzer, Friday, 27 February 2015 04:17 (nine years ago) link
Bevers was ok in this ep because he was at least half human for once.
― Josh in Chicago, Friday, 27 February 2015 04:58 (nine years ago) link
so i hear this show is going to do for Queens what GIrls has done for Bushwick and Greenpoint, huh
― touch of a love-starved cobra (Dr Morbius), Friday, 27 February 2015 04:59 (nine years ago) link
I really doubt that, it's barely noticeable that abbi lives in astoria
― iatee, Friday, 27 February 2015 05:06 (nine years ago) link
overall i think prob season 1 is still better than season 2 but the pegging episode is the show's best ever ep.
