Huge fan of the show, about to finish the first season. How's the second one?

Took them an episode or two to warm back up but it's great so far.

one thing that I like about this show is the # of jokes that would make zero sense to someone who isn't living in nyc in 2015, or at least someone who knows the city pretty well

overall i think prob season 1 is still better than season 2 but the pegging episode is the show's best ever ep.

Bed Bath and Beyond is on 6th avenue btw 18th and 19th street. I work in that building. Around the corner from Academy Records and Taste of Persia.

abby is starting to grate on me. i think she's a pretty limited comedienne. ilana consistently funny.

ditch bevers & abby, just have ilana & hannibal hang out and spitball.

abby and ilana are both kind of played out as characters now, maybe gradually phase them out and bring in charlie sheen, duckie, and a small fat child

Caught the last three episodes of season 1 and this is pretty much fucking garbage. Weak ass sitcom obvious jokes delivered by lol 2 Young NYC Alt Chicks. Also kinda hateful? Like 90% of everyone they run into is hideous and repulsive and OMG how do you DEAL.

IDK, maybe I saw the wrong stuff, but I think I'm done.

Haven't seen the new one yet, but the last few have been good. Still, it's a pretty erratic show, which always surprises me. They have so much time and so few eps, there really is not excuse for stinkers. Same goes for Key & Peele and a bunch of other stuff. The highs are so high and the lows so low that they have to be aware they've stunk the joint up, so why not just try something else?

i think because the first season was a considerable hit and they wanted to strike while the iron's hot. there was a new yorker profile for fuck's sake. They did a lot of touring and celebrity opps in the space following the season, it's understandable they have some sophomore jinx moments. I think they likely have six good episodes per year in them and that's quite a lot!

Not when you only make 10 episodes!
