In Florida, the head-on collision between Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush is discussed with funereal dread http://nyti.ms/1NmBaW6

:)

lag∞n, Sunday, 12 April 2015 14:53 (nine years ago) link

have 2 say if bush really is gonna be the guy for the republicans that chart does not speak well for gop prospects

lag∞n, Sunday, 12 April 2015 14:54 (nine years ago) link

and its not like his actual personality/record speak to some potential for ppl to like him more

lag∞n, Sunday, 12 April 2015 14:55 (nine years ago) link

like maybe rubio but he just seems so lightweight... he drank the water

lag∞n, Sunday, 12 April 2015 14:56 (nine years ago) link

if the democrats had a proven competent campaigner as the nom id feel pretty comfortable with their chances

lag∞n, Sunday, 12 April 2015 14:58 (nine years ago) link

lmao at the negative correlation for gop candidates. the better ppl know em, the more they hate em.

But GOP really good at going along with that "the enemy you know" rule better than anyone.

pplains, Sunday, 12 April 2015 18:15 (nine years ago) link

"I hate that guy, but at least I know where he waffles."

pplains, Sunday, 12 April 2015 18:16 (nine years ago) link

And yeah, Hillary's a bit like that, but GOP has played this game in every election since... 1968?

Oh, look! It has red and blue on white background, just like the colors of Old Glory!

calling her campaign a turkey eh

The burrito of ennui (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Sunday, 12 April 2015 22:54 (nine years ago) link

One of my fb friends said "Swipe right for Hillary!"

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 12 April 2015 23:14 (nine years ago) link

appropriate that this announcement takes place on the seventieth anniversary of FDR's death.

The burrito of ennui (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Sunday, 12 April 2015 23:15 (nine years ago) link

I would love it if Clinton instituted a total media blackout for the length of the campaign. Communicate with her supporters entirely by email and social media. I mean, it's Hillary fucking Clinton. Who doesn't know everything they need to know to either vote for her or not vote for her? And the DC press all hate her guts anyway, and she hates them, so she should completely shut them out - no interviews, and if any of her staff talks to the press, they're fired, instantly.

the top man in the language department (誤訳侮辱), Monday, 13 April 2015 00:19 (nine years ago) link

As much as I like that idea on the surface, it seems a little dictatorial.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 13 April 2015 00:21 (nine years ago) link

but, 誤訳侮辱, that's no different than her policy as First Lady.

The burrito of ennui (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 13 April 2015 00:37 (nine years ago) link

@DennisThePerrin
"Americans have fought their way back from tough economic times, but the deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top." Hillary slays.

the increasing costive borborygmi (Dr Morbius), Monday, 13 April 2015 00:58 (nine years ago) link

holy shit that logo. I wonder if FedEx feels ripped off.

We might as well start speculating who her running mate will be.

Robert Earl Hughes (dandydonweiner), Monday, 13 April 2015 01:12 (nine years ago) link

hillarys logo is pretty good compared to yr average political fare imho

lag∞n, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:17 (nine years ago) link

its maybe too good

lag∞n, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:17 (nine years ago) link

lag∞n, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:23 (nine years ago) link

what the heck is that thing

lag∞n, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:24 (nine years ago) link

the offense that hillary seems to have committed here is going outside the normal campaign palate without really nailing it like obama did causing ppl who otherwise dont notice things like logos or design to become startled, i mean not that it matters

lag∞n, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:28 (nine years ago) link

Rand Paul's is upsetting, the U feels so gigantic. The little red zest strips across the A feel so last-minute, and vaguely like a shoe brand from 25 years ago.

Doctor Casino, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:31 (nine years ago) link

What is wrong with Paul's A? Did it break?

pplains, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:32 (nine years ago) link

team hillary def loves their logo tho lol its all over the website https://www.hillaryclinton.com including breaking the arrow motif out on its own, its kind weird tho there doesnt seem to be any workmark of her whole name with the arrow H as the first letter, which i guess makes sense as the arrow sticks out and wld kind f up yr kerning, which tbf does seem like p bad design

lag∞n, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:34 (nine years ago) link

wow actually it's eerie how similar HRC's font is to FedEx.

Her logo looks much worse the smaller it gets. The red overwhelms the blue pretty badly. And the arrow thing is overplayed.

Robert Earl Hughes (dandydonweiner), Monday, 13 April 2015 01:39 (nine years ago) link

I like it more when it's monochromatic.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:43 (nine years ago) link

i guess obama never used his logo as the first letter in his wordmark either but like he couldve

lag∞n, Monday, 13 April 2015 01:45 (nine years ago) link

maybe its all fine i think its fine
