it certainly seems fair to me to suggest that coke is playing a large part in trump's run for president

We've established that Donny Trump Jr is just there so his old man can transfer his consciousness into him at some point, y/y?

I imagine it more as a future source for organs.

I was thinking that his hair is completely ridiculous, but if you assume it's going to get bleached and woven into his father's rug, it makes sense

he's a hair surrogate

I try to be kind to how people present themselves, but I look at that picture with three of the children and wonder, other than Ivanka, why it looks like something is wrong with their faces

People forget about the Pepsi challenge, in which Pepsi clearly and definitively trounced Coke, which is why Coke rejiggered the formula to be more Pepsi-like.

Anyone else remember the Gen X OK Soda?

My friend's response was to start calling Pepsi Epsi-pay Soda.

imo the Gen X aesthetic and cultural reach peaked with OK Soda and the whole generation could have packed up and left after that

Am betting Trump will soon seem for the GOP as embarrassing a business choice in sore need of a humiliating climbdown as coke 2 was for the coca cola corp

Anyone else try Kona Pepsi? It was awful, like filling your cup with coffee, dumping it out, and then refilling it with Pepsi without rinsing it in between. Crystal Pepsi was OK, iirc, tasted a bit like Zima.

He Likes to Keep “a Fat Guy” Around

“There was a fat contestant who was a buffoon and a fuckup,” recalls the midlevel producer. “And he would fuck up week after week, and the producers would figure that he’d screwed up so badly that Trump would have to fire him. But Trump kept deciding to fire someone else. The producers had to scramble because of course Trump can never be seen to make a bad call on the show, so we had to re-engineer the footage to make a different contestant look bad. Later, I heard a producer talk to him, and Trump said, ‘Everybody loves a fat guy. People will watch if you have a funny fat guy around. Trust me, it’s good for ratings.’ I look at Chris Christie now and I swear that’s what’s happening.”

loooool

To circumvent this, Max Keith, the head of Coca-Cola Deutschland (Coca-Cola GmbH) during the Second World War, decided to create a new product for the German market, using only ingredients available in Germany at the time, including whey and apple pomace – the "leftovers of leftovers", as Keith later recalled. The name was the result of a brief brainstorming session, which started with Keith's exhorting his team to "use their imagination" (Fantasie in German), to which one of his salesmen, Joe Knipp, immediately retorted "Fanta!"
