And not just because you've got DVDs for me, honest.
Lara, Madchen is going to India, fancy bird that she is. What's wrong with Benidorm like the rest of us, eh?

The Glasgow and West Scotland Branch of the BA together with the Institute of Physics in Scotland presents:Lasers, Proton Beams and Nuclear Medicine
Talk to be held at the Glasgow Science Centre at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, 21st February. FREE!!! ALL Welcome!!! No tickets required, however seats in the lecture theatre will be filled on a first come first served basis.
By firing an ultra-powerful - a million billion watts - laser beam at a solid target, it is possible to reproduce conditions which have previously only been found in stars. The lasers can generate particles including protons, electrons, neutrons and positrons which are of great interest to plasma, nuclear and astrophysicists but are also exciting for medical applications. Positrons can be used to find tumours and protons can be used to treat tumours with greater efficiency than conventional radiotherapy. In the longer term it may even be possible to use ultra-intense laser beams to help dispose of radioactive waste.
This talk will be presented at a level that can be understood by non-specialists and students at both school and university. A number of laser demonstrations will be given

Hmm. Pam's upsets in this area lasted for most of the 3 weeks she was there & for about a month afterwards. Hope your plan works, though. Maybe pack bikinis in a range of sizes.

Last week I saw Manda Rin outside my work (the epicentre of celeb-spotting in Glasgow, it would seem). I might have seen other people but I've forgotten what you all look like. When are we going to the pub?

By the way, it just occurred to me that none of you lot probably read the ILX parenting thread, so let me throw in *another* excuse for fappage, that being Onimo's impending daddyhood.

Madchen, have you remembered to phone them yet? I mean, obviously you have remembered about phoning them, but have you put this into practice?

Hey everybody - come to Chris Brokaw at Mono tonight. He's great, support act Skeleton Bob are great, and my group Older & Faraway, who maybe aren't so great, are making our live debut. It's me playing geetar with Mogwai's cellist. More Americana than post-rock though.I'm spinning some tunes too. Fiver on the door. Bargain!
