My mom hates Pence, although possibly not as much as she did his predecessor. From what I've seen and heard, IN's governors have proven amazingly deft at stimulating negative reactions from otherwise apolitical state workers.

I don't think we know what kind of 'bater Kaine is; if there were debates for his prior elections I did not hear about them. His State of the Union response was a little stilted iirc. I know he's from Minnesota, and he married the daughter of another Va. governor.

trump had a lock on indiana anyway, and pence isn't going to lose it for him. suspect that the desire to mitigate utter disaster was a more pressing concern than any question of electoral votes.
