Duane, I got your email. I'm going to the "rugby" tonight. I'm scared that I am going find out the real reason they call it "the house of pain" and I feel sickened at the thought of so many people in one place. luckily I am going to be sitting somewhere swanky and there is going to be snacks and things.

maybe I will have thought of something interesting to say when I get back, we'll just have to wait and see though.

Duane, yeah, the show's at Spaceland in Silverlake the weekend after next. I'll let you know how it goes. I just found out Arthur Lee played there this week. Nobody told me! And, yeah, there is sound with that Steve McDonald clip, it's just a bunch of pre-concert audience noise and some rock intro-type music.

at the moment what i mean by coming across like duane = paranoid, shy, mocking(ish)/sarcastic annoying AND polite/self-effacing/nice.

duane you seem like someone who likes to be "made fun of" so i'm sorry if i'm actually making you cry. you probably got bullied at school right 'cause you went to that fancy boys-only sckool that george gossett also went to. but i'm just a girl so i can bully you and you'd just enjoy it. not to imply that you might not enjoy "mock" bullying from boys. sissy ones or tough ones. i'm not making any assumptions. except that y've got bad taste cause that girl "edith" she's around here in the lab somewhere, she's a fashion victim. also no one who knows me nowdays would be scared of me, unless they're my boyfriend.

yeah but i went to that school the last year of my hi scool years so i didnt get my ass beat. i didnt go there the same time as george, i think he started there the next year...i 1st met him to talk to when peter brotzman & peter kowald played @ the arts centre in chch in about '87, he was doing this spastic head-shaking dancing-in-his- chair move while they were playing.

it was excellent, I ate hotdogs and drank beer and talked on the phone to my friend in wellington for most of the first part of the game and then I went to the toilet and talked to this girl from Perth for about thirty minutes and then when I got back the game was nearly over.
