I'm jumping between the four streams of women's table tennis and it's really interesting to see the different styles of play.

I hope you're athletes are as funny and undisciplined as ours. Two cyclists were interviewed about the silver medal, one said it was 'fucking sindsygt (insane)', the other went 'yeah... hum... it's... fuuuuuck...' :)

That bike race looked absolutely insane, there doesn't appear to be any footage of what actually caused three riders to clatter off the road but the aftermath looked grim.

As for what caused the crashes, combination of steep descents and rapidly changing light/shade, I suspect. Commentators were saying it wasn't a case of if crashes would happen but when.

those shaded parts of roads in hotter countries can get real greasy too, which makes coming off at speed when cornering much more likely
