Last night I picked Denise up for a date, then seconds later the hood was under attack. So I got out and started shooting at people. She stood beside me. I killed a couple of people, then attempted to kiss her (was shut down), then handed her the dildo (which she accepted), killed more people, then went out for chicken.
I think I'll take her to a gang war next. Then pizza.

The last thing I did last night was swim over to Flint County even though I haven't opened it up yet. I hijacked a cab and had the most intense car chase with my four stars. I got pretty far. At one point, I jumped off a bridge, and the cops were following me into the water in their police Suburbans trying to get me.

im stuck on the "photo opportunity" mission. I get too nervous and start photographing everything but what i am supposed to shoot. then i get pissed and start sniping people from the rooftop. i like teh snipe.

There is also a cool way of making some extra money in Downtown. Off track betting. You can bet on horse races. Good times. I can;t wait to see what the "Vegas" section of the game looks like.

Just how are you all making money at this? The odds are six to one against you everytime since there's not place or show bets allowed. And the odds for the horses don't seem to matter one whit in their performance.

I lost $200 in Red County last night. I was kicking myself all the way on the long trip back to the Grove.

So you bet on no4 and 5 all the time, with their high odds. It helps if you're far enough in the game to be able to buy a save point in one of the villages near to it in case you lose too. Out of 6 races I've won 4 now, so I'm guessing the ones with higher odds are actually more likely to win. Or I have a glitchy game.

Fire Engine missions. Take a car, drive it until it crashes into something and catches fire, preferably where there's other cars to catch fire (the road into the Los Santos airport can be awesome for this, drive it onto the wrong lane, and cars will pile up. I got a dozen-car pile up yesterday). Once enough stuff is ablaze, the fire engine will arrive. Then steal it, hit R3, and money will be yours.

things like ambulances etc. seem to self-right so much easier in this game - even when they're near horizontal if you steer into where it's tilted it almost always self rights it!

I cannot stop fighting turf wars. I didn't like doing them at first, but now ALL I want to do is roll four-deep into Ballas territory and lob grenades. At this rate, it'll take me months to get to San Fierro.

You might want to save the turf missions until after you've gone through the other two cities. Just speaking from pained experience here.

Haha I heard about that. On the other hand, I really like killing people. Is that so wrong? Is it?

I got to levels 7 and 11 on the Paramedic missions and fucked up both times, before switching from the east to the west hospital. Advantages: all the streets are level for miles around (leaving only "I'm bleeding in the middle of an Escher painting, can you come get me?" fun) and there's a police bribe 10 feet to the north. After that I found it pretty easy, but then I always found the Paramedic levels easy.

How do you get your gang to come with you? I can apparently run a three man gang, but when I press R1 they just say shit like "Get out of my face" Even when I target on somebody else their not having it!

I've only managed it once, I jacked a car with my homies in it, and drove the passenger into Ballas turf, he kicked some shit then ran away.

something i noticed last night in the police station (where i gave a little cheer as i found the dildo), as long as you only have a melee weapon in your hands (even if it is a three foot bright pink dildo) the cops won't come after you, but as soon as you get a gun out, it's two star minimum and a trip to the hospital...

if you kill all the cops in the changing room and stay there, you can pull out the gun and knock them down one by one as they foolishly walk in!!! (you can really pile up your stars!) and the helicopter can't get you! (eventually after about 150 cop corpses you'd get bored, though and fighting your way out might be difficult - although i've only tried it using nothing but a dildo to be fair)

I think I'm getting close to the end of the main missions, I'm only on 57% though. Found out you can actually do freight train missions when all the islands are open.

and OMG THE TANK!! IS AWESOME in this version! I managed to make a daring night raid on Area69 (not the jet-pack mission) and made my way off with the beast.

I need to gimp it up with my s&m girlfriend to get a key card but she's never home. Picture me driving past her house every 5 minutes to see if her car is there.

You don't need to do much though, I went and splashed around for about five minutes, went back, and that was good enough. I think you just need a lung capactiy higher than zero.

I really enjoyed the shooting gallery in Mul;berry (one of those backwaters anyway) the other night. I'm taking a wee while off missions after doing the couple I was stuck on and just pottering and pandering to Denice a bit more. shooting the dealers is a fantastic way to boost up the cash a bit though, i tend to loiter in those two ginnels that cross near the house with the bribe in the middle and rob my way through the night.

x-post - pimpin ain't easy when, for some reason, your car has it's hydraulics stuck with you in the air and it's doing a passable impression of a horizontally bendy bus
