On Saturday 22 October 2016, in the French talk-show Salut les Terriens ! on TNT C8 channel, the anchor host Thierry Ardisson gave the name of David Hamilton as the presumed rapist of now radio RTL presenter Flavie Flament. According to Ms Flament these acts would have been committed when she was 13 years old, in Cap d'Agde (Hérault, South of France). They are now largely reported in her novel La consolation, a romanticized story based on her alleged life experiences, and in social media like Twitter.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20] The brother of Ms Flament has called certain revelations in her book into question.[21] On Tuesday 22 November 2016 David Hamilton announced that he is planning to file several complaints because of defamation. When the press agency AFP called him the artist declared that he is not to blame. "I didn't do anything wrong", he affirmed, while confirming that he only took a portrait picture of Flavie Flament, "29 or 30 years ago". This photo was published.[22]
