everyone needs to calm down about Moonlight. it was good, nothing special. critics & the Academy are stoked that after losing The Birth of a Nation, they got another movie that checks even more boxes: gay, black, drugs, class, bullying...

I didn't like it but good to see My Golden Days remembered. And Sonia Braga in Aquarius is as good as Huppert in Things to Come.

would happily have watched a solid 9.5-hour cut. The first quarter, about O.J.'s early career, was a revelation to me, and the director made the insights pay off much later.

Tickled and Roar are on my to-watch list for sure. xp
