Harry Shearer was interesting and the questions following were pretty good. The Writer's Guild is going on strike in 2 weeks or so; the fate of the Simpsons is uncertain; the crowd was aghast. Something tells me the audiobook would be funnier than the text version of his novel Not Enough Indians, but I got a copy anyway.

Bollywood would be awesome. I think I'll be back home in December sometime? <sigh>

in berlin i listened to his v v partisan only occasionally funny npr broadcast. it made me love him more and hate him more. the voice soothed though, every week. and he'd do a shout out to 'mighty 104.1 berlin' which gave me :)

i just want to think of him as derek smalls because it's unlikely that any person could be more perfect.

He played a bunch of stuff like "Marley Purt Drive" on that show when Maurice Gibb died, so big points for that.

I am now back on Capitol Hill. Some of you partied at my house after EMP. Lower Queen Anne was great but it's good to be close to my friends and stuff again. (Stuff = belongings.) Anyway, haul me in on Bollywood as well.

What with the fires in California, it looks like I'm here until at least 11/5. (going to see Art Brut and the Hold Steady on 11/4 - anyone else?) Does Bollywood this weekend work for people? Shows at 9 Friday, 5 and 9 Saturday, 3 and 7 Sunday (g00gle for Totem Lake Cinemas).
