last week: carlos santana (a regular customer at my place of employment) and lady sovereign. i was forced by my superiors to do a brief meet-n-greet with sov and her manager & dj, and a rep from def jam. all of us, including sov, were not thrilled to be chatting.

Preston that Barima saw = Samuel Preston. He's the lead singer of the staggeringly-appropriately-named Ordinary Boys, but is "famous" for being on Celebrity Big Brother and marrying the non-celeb one who was on it who is more famous than him, despite not actually being famous. Or something.

My friend had a dog called Preston. It's a nice name for a dog.

I saw Stuart Murdoch today at the CCA in Glasgow. He was trying to get into the bar, but he couldn't because it was being used as a lunch venue for the seminar I was at. Poor love, I hope he found somewhere else to go and drink/eat.

When William Macy was in a play in London a few years a go I saw him twice on consecutive weekends around covent garden and in a wagamama. He was with family so I probably saw Felicity Huffman too, but she wasn't famous in those days.

crossing 57th St & Broadway in Manhattan last Monday, I spotted a pale green Jaguar from like the early 50s stopped at the light. cool. scoping out the car, a convertible w/top down I recognized the driver as "journalist" GERALDO RIVERA. he was dressed all tweedy, rocking the Ralph Lauren look, he might've had on an ascot or maybe that's just my imagination. plus 1 young dude riding shotgun.
