Movie seems pretty heavy, man.

Rita, still bearing the sting of the good looking Dr. Woodal’s rejection, plans a spiteful revenge, along with her hateful brother, Grady. The romance between David and Sandy has now flowered into marriage plans. Rita and Grady learn of the wedding date. They spike the ice cream with LSD and the wedding ceremony ends in a tragic freak-out, as the guests go psychedelic, and one of the hippies, under the influence of the drug, kills himself.

Jerry, dejected, disillusions You Know by telling him his garden of “grass” is a garden of weeds.

wow yeah sounds like a serious drag. hate all those post-easy-rider "we blew it" bummer endings for the sake of bummer endings.

Marty Feldman
Michael York

Terry-Thomas

The Mel Brooks effect was nuts in the late '70s.

this would have been a much better poster if they'd gone full-on busy/claustrophobic caricature style and given everyone a comically over-sized head instead of just Robert Downey jnr and Don Cheadle

There’s a big Stanley Kubrick auction happening in Italy. Among the many treasures is this note requesting a print of “Hot Stuff” directed by and staring Dom Deluise. SOLD! https://t.co/9jWANoaG2A pic.twitter.com/ZWk5dscpI6

From the claustrophobic album cover files...

https://jamesostafford.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/beatlesongs-front.jpg?w=829

The Rhino's quickly pulled original Beatlesongs lp sleeve.

This sleeve caused its share of controversy when it was released in 1982. John Lennon had been gone less than two years when this album dropped, murdered by a crazed fan named Mark David Chapman. That’s Chapman on our far left, the dude with the glasses and the buttons who is holding up one end of the banner. A totally tasteless move by Rhino, but it garnered them some free publicity.

At first glance, I thought that might've been a Daniel Clowes illustration. (I know, the rest of the art doesn't and 1982 is too early anyway. I said FIRST GLANCE.)

But then again, I guess that MDC just naturally looks like a Clowes illustration IRL.

I was gonna day maybe it’s just a coincidence that he looks like Chapman, but look what’s behind his right foot

The vast majority of these seem to prominently feature T&A, as though this style was thought particularly well-suited to market to the 18-35 male demographic or something.

Camp Nowhere, 1994

(Now That's What I Call) Trivia:

By a strange coincidence two actors who appear in this film, Alison Mack and Andrew Keegan, would later quit acting to join religious cults

Making Plans For Sturgill (C. Grisso/McCain), Tuesday, 24 April 2018 04:09 (six years ago) link

Ahem:

In 2018, Mack gained publicity as one of the top-ranking members of NXIVM, a group accused of engaging in blackmail, sex trafficking and forced labor, for which it has garnered accusations by some experts of being a cult. On April 20, 2018, Mack was arrested by the FBI on charges of sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy.

bravo - another great late find. caricature quality remains strong also - not the most recognizable list of names in the first place but jeff daniels and rhea perlman come through loud and clear.
