Thanks, everyone! LL, we are a cover band -- we play 90s "alternative rock," so pretty much what you would guess. The good thing is that since I've started transitioning I've gotten the guys to look at some female-fronted bands. We just added Hole's "Celebrity Skin" to our set and we're working on "I'm Only Happy When It Rains" and "Supernova."

Threshing Soba. I just spent a week WWOOFing (volunteering) on a small farm growing vegetables and soba in Hokkaido, Japan. It was run by a couple of aging Japanese hippies, Hiroshi-San was a massive music nerd who learnt English to understand Led Zeppelin records. We spend the evenings with him playing guitar or accordion, watching music documentaries and him trying to teach me to play the drums.

I don't really see how learning English helps to understand Led Zeppelin records tbh
