Yeah, the Eubanks-led Tonight Show band was the worst ever in late night tv. And the dude himself is a stiff. Imagine how hard Jay had to look to find someone less entertaining than himself (Branford Marsalis had enough of the shit early on).

I don't know, I'd still take Kevin Eubanks over Paul Shaffer and the most dangerous band in the entire galaxy or whatever.

Shaffer couldn't even come up with a good comeback to a near-comatose Joaquin Phoenix.

Daly doesn't even have a typical late night set-up anymore. He's out and about with a camera man shooting segments on location. For regular interviews, he has a stage, but there's no desk anymore and, more importantly, no lame Joe Firstman-led studio band.

it's a weird show - it's not even mildly entertaining but i don't think anyone who is working for the show even knows what the point of the program is

lol Adult Swim isn't always a reliable alternative at that hour, and I've usually already watched Olbermann from the night before.

But Carson's really not that bad, honestly. He's not trying to be a "late night host" anymore with a monologue and shit. He's going out talking to musicians and street artists and authors and it's decent tv for that hour.

the week that fallon premiered, daly was profiling a different musician each day and like showing live footage, and then the next week he was interviewing joey fatone in studio and now he's just like filming random shit around california

68 children. OK, that's cute. Except what is the point? I mean, every company over time will have employees that have kids. Traditionally, these kids are honored by being invited to the company's family picnic. There's just something megalomaniacal about somehow TAKING CREDIT for other people's children. Jay Leno is not responsible for these babies.
