Felt sure we'd give them a game, painful to concede from there but point clear on 7th isn't bad

utd with an incredible move there, not quite getting the last bit right
― imago, Sunday, 10 March 2019 17:19 (five years ago) link
yeah, would have been one for the ages
Been the better team since the formation change, but Rashford is having a nightmare
I don't blame de Gea overly for the goal either. Xhaka looks he's shaping to curl it the other way and then cuts across it at the last minute
Be disappointed if we don't get a draw here.

was actually hoping for enough of a shellacking that Utd would go third on goal difference as it'd be overall beneficial for us I reckon. bleh

Until now I'd been rather complacently assuming that Arsenal would drop enough points against midtable opposition but I'm not so sure now.

it was v bad and i don't think it merits a week of hysterical "should we put massive cages back up and strip-search everybody going into a football ground?" ffs

just a little pre-admission match form would do the trick?
Are you concealing any severed pigs heads/fireworks/bricks yes/no
Do you intend to enter the pitch of play and run up to a player and nervously give them a little shove and then get wrestled to the ground by 9 stewards and get a banning order yes/no

Gary Neville is "very concerned" because lest we forget 26 years ago a tennis player got stabbed.
"We have reached the point where banning individual fans for going on the pitch is simply not enough of a punishment.
lol what more could you do? Fucking start amputating legs?
― calzino, Monday, 11 March 2019 10:37 (five years ago) link
yesterday he was talking about docking teams points or making them play behind closed doors. obviously it would be awful if arsenal got three points taken off them for yesterdays one-man pitch invasion and i for one would be inconsolable were that to happen
martin tyler was banging on about it during the man u match - at one point he enthusiastically started saying "30 years ago we had big fences to keep the fans off the pitch..." and then his voice trailed off all awkwardly as he remembered what actually happened in 1989
― kolarov spring (NickB), Monday, 11 March 2019 11:01 (five years ago) link
just need all pitches to be raised with steep sides like old trafford. your typical pitch invader would be out of breath by the time he got near a player.

Shearer firmly of the opinion that if anyone is to physically attack a player on a football pitch it should be another player.
