Felt sure we'd give them a game, painful to concede from there but point clear on 7th isn't bad

Carpool Tunnel (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 10 March 2019 16:05 (five years ago) link

utd with an incredible move there, not quite getting the last bit right

imago, Sunday, 10 March 2019 17:19 (five years ago) link

yeah, would have been one for the ages

Been the better team since the formation change, but Rashford is having a nightmare

I don't blame de Gea overly for the goal either. Xhaka looks he's shaping to curl it the other way and then cuts across it at the last minute

Be disappointed if we don't get a draw here.

Fucking dive

kolarov spring (NickB), Sunday, 10 March 2019 17:59 (five years ago) link

ah well, run had to end sometime

Number None, Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:00 (five years ago) link

Feel bad for fred cos he was having an okay match

kolarov spring (NickB), Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:00 (five years ago) link

Arsenal's run-in is a real piece of piss as well.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:08 (five years ago) link

the narrative

Number None, Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:10 (five years ago) link

was actually hoping for enough of a shellacking that Utd would go third on goal difference as it'd be overall beneficial for us I reckon. bleh

Terry Major-Ball Will Tell You (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:17 (five years ago) link

Until now I'd been rather complacently assuming that Arsenal would drop enough points against midtable opposition but I'm not so sure now.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:22 (five years ago) link

I think they will

they haven't even been good today

Number None, Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:22 (five years ago) link

Shocking for Utd to suffer a dodgy pen

Carpool Tunnel (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:30 (five years ago) link

lol are ye still following football pfft

~mine own~ bitcoin (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:35 (five years ago) link

eh

just seemed like things weren't going to run our way today

Number None, Sunday, 10 March 2019 18:35 (five years ago) link

enjoying the media enjoying the chance to hysterically react to a couple of bell-ends running on the pitch

Carpool Tunnel (Noodle Vague), Monday, 11 March 2019 09:16 (five years ago) link

Wait are you talking about the unprovoked physical assault or something else?

Matt DC, Monday, 11 March 2019 09:29 (five years ago) link

spurs fullbacks

~mine own~ bitcoin (darraghmac), Monday, 11 March 2019 09:32 (five years ago) link

it was v bad and i don't think it merits a week of hysterical "should we put massive cages back up and strip-search everybody going into a football ground?" ffs

Carpool Tunnel (Noodle Vague), Monday, 11 March 2019 09:34 (five years ago) link

also imo it wasn't as bad as the transparent joy of Five Live/daytime TV wankers having something to fill a fucking schedule with

Carpool Tunnel (Noodle Vague), Monday, 11 March 2019 09:37 (five years ago) link

they don't get paid enough to have to put up with infrequent nonsense like that.

calzino, Monday, 11 March 2019 09:39 (five years ago) link

just a little pre-admission match form would do the trick?

Are you concealing any severed pigs heads/fireworks/bricks yes/no

Do you intend to enter the pitch of play and run up to a player and nervously give them a little shove and then get wrestled to the ground by 9 stewards and get a banning order yes/no

calzino, Monday, 11 March 2019 09:50 (five years ago) link

Alan Shearer has realised he can get the biggest profile by being the most outraged person, hasn't he?

mfktz (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Monday, 11 March 2019 10:11 (five years ago) link

Gary Neville is "very concerned" because lest we forget 26 years ago a tennis player got stabbed.

"We have reached the point where banning individual fans for going on the pitch is simply not enough of a punishment.

lol what more could you do? Fucking start amputating legs?

calzino, Monday, 11 March 2019 10:37 (five years ago) link

yesterday he was talking about docking teams points or making them play behind closed doors. obviously it would be awful if arsenal got three points taken off them for yesterdays one-man pitch invasion and i for one would be inconsolable were that to happen

martin tyler was banging on about it during the man u match - at one point he enthusiastically started saying "30 years ago we had big fences to keep the fans off the pitch..." and then his voice trailed off all awkwardly as he remembered what actually happened in 1989

kolarov spring (NickB), Monday, 11 March 2019 11:01 (five years ago) link

just need all pitches to be raised with steep sides like old trafford. your typical pitch invader would be out of breath by the time he got near a player.

thomasintrouble, Monday, 11 March 2019 11:08 (five years ago) link

just need a croc-filled moat with ballboys on jet skis

kolarov spring (NickB), Monday, 11 March 2019 11:18 (five years ago) link

levy would fill ours with fondue and sell it as an executive perk

Shearer firmly of the opinion that if anyone is to physically attack a player on a football pitch it should be another player.

The Vangelis of Dating (Tom D.), Monday, 11 March 2019 11:30 (five years ago) link

reminds me of when he claimed that Neil Lennon had deliberately headbutted his foot

thomasintrouble, Monday, 11 March 2019 12:17 (five years ago) link

He's very much in favour of stamping ... out fans attacking players on the pitch.

The Vangelis of Dating (Tom D.), Monday, 11 March 2019 13:25 (five years ago) link

I wonder which of the the premiership era old guard trash will be the first to be outed as a secret pal of Tommy Robinson. There is deffo a strong crypto-fash malevolence bubbling away in Souness.

Sutton once said on 5 live he approved of the "ooh jeremy corbyn" chant. So maybe just an anti-semite.

Arlo white commentating on US TV yesterday, voice quivering “it is a blight on the game and IT MUST STOP” you jerkoff, everyone watching is a continent away what are we gonna do? *hits mute*

In the US and Canada, you can be fined and most likely you will spend a night in prison. Is it the case in the UK?

Van Horn Street, Monday, 11 March 2019 17:17 (five years ago) link

The Brummie puncher will possibly get jail time for assault, but running on a pitch for non-violent purposes is hilarious and should never be criminalised imo

Carpool Tunnel (Noodle Vague), Monday, 11 March 2019 17:20 (five years ago) link

he's got 14 weeks jail time for that little adventure.

calzino, Monday, 11 March 2019 17:37 (five years ago) link

That was quick

Carpool Tunnel (Noodle Vague), Monday, 11 March 2019 17:40 (five years ago) link

He'd already been convicted in the Court of Public Opinion, Hanging Judge Lord Shearer.

The Vangelis of Dating (Tom D.), Monday, 11 March 2019 17:43 (five years ago) link

P Neville showed up in court and did a powerpoint presentation showing there is a direct correlation between pitch invaders that whack footballers and paedophiles.
