jesus, great stat

Wins games, keeps the fans happy, probably much cheaper than any other feasible alternative. Can't blame them really.

Matt DC, Thursday, 28 March 2019 09:57 (five years ago) link

the timing is a bit odd

like why now, after two losses in a row and in the international break?

I don't disagree with the appointment, but it doesn't exactly scream "we have a well thought out plan for the future"

if they follow through on the long-running threats to get in a Director of Football then I might start to believe that things at the club will change long term (but you'd think they'd want a say in any managerial appointments so...)

gives him a boost?

ogmor, Thursday, 28 March 2019 10:14 (five years ago) link

The Xylems of the Limes (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 31 March 2019 15:03 (five years ago) link

All in football I have to live for is Cardiff going down and L**ds choking promotion atm. Oh yeah and the possibility of becoming a season ticket holder again after all the autograph hunters have fucked off!

calzino, Sunday, 31 March 2019 15:06 (five years ago) link

I love how Cardiff fans were ready to built a monument for plane crash ledge, and then the club is like: fucked if we are paying for a corpse.

calzino, Sunday, 31 March 2019 15:07 (five years ago) link

wtf are u allowed to cross it like that

somebody check, but i dont think youre allowed to cross it like that

i mean we'd have prepared if we'd known you could cross it in and score unmarked, otherwise why teams would have been doing it all season against us and our genius manager wouldve yknow sorted it out pronto

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Sunday, 31 March 2019 15:51 (five years ago) link

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Sunday, 31 March 2019 17:19 (five years ago) link

lloris an actual disgrace tho

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Sunday, 31 March 2019 17:19 (five years ago) link

cunts

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Sunday, 31 March 2019 17:24 (five years ago) link

Never has an o.g. been more just

or something, Sunday, 31 March 2019 17:27 (five years ago) link

LLoris pretty much at Robinson-circa-2007 levels of liable ineptitude at this point and most of what's in front of him isn't much better

Terry Major-Ball Will Tell You (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 31 March 2019 17:34 (five years ago) link

instinctively wanted to argue that point but thinking of how much less he has to do and jesus thats possibly otm

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Sunday, 31 March 2019 17:49 (five years ago) link

can anyone confirm did rose play salah on or was he a few feet off

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Sunday, 31 March 2019 17:49 (five years ago) link

Salah was way onside, not even marginal.

Stevie T, Sunday, 31 March 2019 18:14 (five years ago) link

Yup

Et Dieu crea l' (Michael White), Sunday, 31 March 2019 18:44 (five years ago) link

fair enough

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Sunday, 31 March 2019 19:09 (five years ago) link

The sheer poxiness of the win today makes me feel the league is ours

. (Michael B), Sunday, 31 March 2019 20:54 (five years ago) link

solskjaer's playing the reserves against city u realise

PPL+AI=NS (imago), Sunday, 31 March 2019 20:56 (five years ago) link

this is going to be like that time when if city won the last 5 games they'd pip team rodgers to the title, except it's like the last 13 games

PPL+AI=NS (imago), Sunday, 31 March 2019 20:57 (five years ago) link

Why would solksjaer put out a b team against City?

. (Michael B), Sunday, 31 March 2019 21:01 (five years ago) link

there was not a season in which city faced a challenge of winning the last 5 games to mean they'd pip liverpool.

FernandoHierro, Sunday, 31 March 2019 21:05 (five years ago) link

au contraire, after the gerrard slip city still had 5 games due to postponements

PPL+AI=NS (imago), Sunday, 31 March 2019 21:30 (five years ago) link

Sunday 27th April 2014, leading positions at the start of the day: 1) Liverpool Pl 35 Pts 80, 2) Chelsea Pl 35 Pts 75, 3) City Pl 34, Pts 74.

Liverpool 0 Chelsea 2, Palace 0 City 2.

1) Liverpool Pl 36, Pts 80, 2) Chelsea Pl 36, Pts 78, 3) City Pl 35, Pts 77.

the salacious inaudible (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Monday, 1 April 2019 08:57 (five years ago) link

OK 4 games sheesh (palace city was the late kick off)

PPL+AI=NS (imago), Monday, 1 April 2019 09:05 (five years ago) link

the feel of the two situations is totally dissimilar, not least given it was in liverpool's hands with three games to go in 2014.

FernandoHierro, Monday, 1 April 2019 09:16 (five years ago) link

no I know, it's just that city got their noses in front and then won every game, and could well do the same again from much further out. this time less a slip from liverpool, more a sort of mauling by fate

PPL+AI=NS (imago), Monday, 1 April 2019 09:19 (five years ago) link

Fred

kolarov spring (NickB), Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:14 (five years ago) link

i mean, i'm normally the one who falls asleep during these evening matches

kolarov spring (NickB), Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:15 (five years ago) link

End to end imo, decent game

The Xylems of the Limes (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:33 (five years ago) link

Utd have been abysmal since the equaliser

Number None, Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:35 (five years ago) link

We definitely picked up at that point. Utd give it away a lot in deep mid

The Xylems of the Limes (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:38 (five years ago) link

Did the same in the quarter final iirc

The Xylems of the Limes (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:39 (five years ago) link

have just settled into faro and our host turned on the tv in the middle of our introductory beer, announcing that he was going to watch 7 portugal players. i was all 'sporting or benfica' but you guessed it

PPL+AI=NS (imago), Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:40 (five years ago) link

wolves equalised just as he did so

PPL+AI=NS (imago), Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:40 (five years ago) link

I'd rather to be tucking into a cataplana tbh

Number None, Tuesday, 2 April 2019 19:45 (five years ago) link

I can't watch Young for another season. I just can't
