The original version of this show was my mom's absolute favorite game show so it obviously conjures up exceptionally happy memories in me, especially since she would make sure to catch the USA reruns of it whenever she would take time off work to spend it with me during summer vacation. I'm glad the new Elizabeth Banks version appears to preserve the look of the original much more than the GSN version that was on the air for awhile. I hope she's a better host, too.

The new Whammies preserve the style and sound of the originals too. Don't know if Holland is involved or not.
Banks is pretty good. One of the things I liked about Tomarken was how much he wasn't a total pro host. He was a production guy who crossed over, and iirc PYL was only his first or second series. In every episode he seemed to be falling over his words or making a joke (or jokes) that clearly didn't land, which he'd awkwardly have to talk his way out of. Pretty relatable, imho.
