Sanchez, Lukaku, Herrera, Fellaini all sold/loaned and the only attacking player we get in is a kid from the Championship while spending £80m on a CB who looks no better (being generous) than Chris Smalling

Even with the underwhelming players we have, the complete absence of any attacking patterns, defensive solidity or evidence of any coaching whatsoever is completely on Ole and the other gormless twats on the bench

I always get the sense, when the camera pans to the Utd bench, that Ole, Phelan et al look like they've sneaked in off the street and been caught trespassing.

The Glazers only really care about on-pitch matters to the extent that they affect the financial side of things, which arguably isn't the case yet (but would increasingly become so, assuming United can't finish in the top four). Woodward's priority is to keep himself in a job so he has a vested interest in not having to say 'woops - I fucked up the choice of manager again! - sorry about that'. Moyes was kept on until it was mathematically impossible to qualify for the CL, even though he was a dead man walking for at least a couple of months before that. Van Gaal was kept on for at least six months longer than anybody wanted him. Mourinho looked like he expected to be sacked at the end of the early season home defeat against Spurs, but still lingered on for three or four months (and was probably only eventually booted out because it was becoming toxic to keep him). I could be wrong, but I think it's likely that OGS won't be sacked during the transfer window and might survive until the end of the season (though I'd be surprised if he lasts any longer than that).

otm, and despite the nasty paying fans singing mean things about Woodward and upsetting a couple of pundits Ole seems to function as a reasonable shield for him at the moment, why risk more turmoil?

It must be getting to the point where managers won't want the job. Given the state of things, why would Poch choose (if he is - and it's arguable? - in a position to choose) Utd over say, Bayern or even Dortmund?

very few managers get a crack at a job like that that dont already exhibit significant levels of delusion over their personal powers.

Goal came about really from Salah making the wrong decision again

Salah could have had two goals by now if he wasn't either making unnecessary maneuvers prior to shooting or firing the ball too early when he has teammates available in the immediate area for tap-ins.
