Soyuncu's been crap since Christmas

Number None, Monday, 20 July 2020 11:01 (three years ago) link

Yeah I sort of checked out of football around then so maybe.

Matt DC, Monday, 20 July 2020 13:09 (three years ago) link

GOAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 19:57 (three years ago) link

PO-dence

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 19:58 (three years ago) link

lol missed it, had the radio on and they scored while i was out of the room

good to see Podence's role continuing

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:06 (three years ago) link

was a pretty great sequence, he was right in position

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:12 (three years ago) link

god the last Crystal Palace match was so long ago, I was in the Phillipines watching it

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:13 (three years ago) link

palace's run of form just needs to go on another seven months and we might even get to play them again next season (wednesday pending)

imago, Monday, 20 July 2020 20:15 (three years ago) link

fuck me that one sounded alright too

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:41 (three years ago) link

holy shit, spun in a circle, wheeled it around, rifled it in

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:42 (three years ago) link

they are basically beating the shit out of POdence atm

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:45 (three years ago) link

he's the sort of player that's going to get kicked on the reg, small, quick feet, makes defenders look stupid. comes with the turf, they've been kicking shit out of Jota since the day he came

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:47 (three years ago) link

whereas on that second goal, Adama was basically getting dragged down by two dudes and somehow managed to stay upright and fire off a key pass.

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:48 (three years ago) link

yeah well lol

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:49 (three years ago) link

JOta stopped shaving again, I see

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 20:51 (three years ago) link

there it is ....clean sheet

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 21:08 (three years ago) link

good stuff but it's just reignited the aggravation of getting robbed at Burnley

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Monday, 20 July 2020 21:09 (three years ago) link

yeah, 6th is the best they can do now, right?

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 July 2020 21:44 (three years ago) link

Yeah and that's still not certain. 6th is the lowest that guarantees us Europa League next season I think

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Monday, 20 July 2020 21:48 (three years ago) link

6th definitely Europa, 7th also if Chelsea win the cup

chonky floof (groovypanda), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 06:43 (three years ago) link

Idly scrolling through the channels on Freeview I noticed the Watford v. Man City game is live on Pick, a channel that generally shows stuff like Border Patrol, Road Wars, Nothing To Declare etc etc. And Liverpool v. Chelsea is on live tomorrow night. What's that all about?

Sonny Shamrock (Tom D.), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 17:05 (three years ago) link

Pick is a Freeview Sky channel, they've shown the occasional game in the past before lockdown

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 17:08 (three years ago) link

Right, I never bother checking that channel out because it's crap, so I've probably missed a few games.

Sonny Shamrock (Tom D.), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 17:10 (three years ago) link

They've shown a few, none of the important ones really as far as I remember

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 17:13 (three years ago) link

Watford two down at HT.

If Villa can pick up one win in their final two games (and avoid a battering in the other) they've a good chance of staying up - assuming Arsenal don't field a complete second string on Sunday

chonky floof (groovypanda), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 17:59 (three years ago) link

well this is a delight

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 18:37 (three years ago) link

Hello

chonky floof (groovypanda), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 19:43 (three years ago) link

Arsenal don’t look up for this at all.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 19:57 (three years ago) link

God bless Watford for making the end of the season worth watching but I cannot express how much I want them to go down right now. In what would be funniest relegation since Newcastle 09.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 21 July 2020 19:58 (three years ago) link

It'd be pretty weird if Villa stayed up right

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 20:05 (three years ago) link

as the boards' resident watford apologist i have to hold my hands up and say, fair play

imago, Tuesday, 21 July 2020 20:07 (three years ago) link

Like, dreams where your grandparents are somehow still alive or whatever, I mean, sure that's nice to think about but it's a bit uncanny

i can't believe there is a club with an even worse record than my lot against City. At least we had that famous away 0-0 "victory" in recent history!

calzino, Tuesday, 21 July 2020 20:18 (three years ago) link

WaTFord apologist?

Sonny Shamrock (Tom D.), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 20:20 (three years ago) link

Arsenal appear to be playing six up front at the moment.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 20:54 (three years ago) link

for all the good it did them :D :D :D

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 21:13 (three years ago) link

interesting one from Pogba there

Number None, Wednesday, 22 July 2020 17:51 (three years ago) link

these cunts better get tested for covid after the game

Number None, Wednesday, 22 July 2020 18:54 (three years ago) link

Kinda think Chelsea winning tonight might be the best result for Wolves, horrible thought

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 22 July 2020 18:57 (three years ago) link

only caught the end of that but it all looked a bit scrappy and nervy. been a bit shit since luke got injured tbh, maybe they're missing some of the width in attack that he gives?

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Wednesday, 22 July 2020 19:00 (three years ago) link

fuck's sake Chelsea i hope we thrash you

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 22 July 2020 19:55 (three years ago) link

Lallana to Brighton seems like a decent move for all concerned.

Matt DC, Saturday, 25 July 2020 20:30 (three years ago) link

Jermaine Jenas and other pundits acting like a Pearson led Watford would've definitely got points vs man city or arsenal is laughable.

Kepa being dropped for Chelsea's most important game of the season is p funny.

oscar bravo, Sunday, 26 July 2020 14:20 (three years ago) link

noted it with interest

also we're not starting Moutinho, which breaks my heart a shade but he's maybe looked a little tired at times during the return, not starting Traore either suggests we're gonna attrition it out first half but we'll see

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 26 July 2020 14:23 (three years ago) link

definitely want revenge for the first match today. sad it's over after this but then again there's Euro up to finish.

and hell, talking regular season start by Sept? oof. gonna be some exhausted assed-players.

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Sunday, 26 July 2020 14:25 (three years ago) link

lucky we had the 3 month break really :D

still an amazing feat of squad management. my brother said to me earlier in the year that some of the fans overlook that when we play within ourselves or look a bit flat some of that is about managing stamina too, i think he made a good point

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 26 July 2020 14:29 (three years ago) link

and yeah, Europa is back in the next 10 days or so, new league season starts around September 12 i think, not too long a break

massive match for us this, think we'll need the win for 6th

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 26 July 2020 14:30 (three years ago) link

xpost especially true given how many results were achieved from short, late contained bursts of firepower, like both Man City matches. or the Southhampton comeback.

Lady Antibody (Neanderthal), Sunday, 26 July 2020 14:32 (three years ago) link

Heard a rumour that the already unstoppable Traoré applies baby lotion to his arms before each match so defenders can't catch him. I approve.

GL later on lads.

Scampidocio (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 26 July 2020 14:34 (three years ago) link

that's good. i have no idea how much more the stateside MLS matches are going to keep going after the tourney, considering this tourney has only worked due to an enforced bubble and even then shed two teams who had massive infections. i need some sort of sport as a distraction until this nightmare is over considering I live in its epicenter!.

xpost lol he needs a racing stripe.
