Las Venturas looks great at night but it's a bit bare compared to Los Santos during the day. San Fierro is just Lego town.

You need to just lay money on the "red" or "black" boxes on the roulette table at first. easier odds. once you win 4-5 times they increase your limit.

I love that shooting the russians mission, especially as you can shoot the boss from outside the door and not have to chase after him and potentially lose yr bearings (as I did first time) Grenades help a hella lot too, also on the funeral mission

it's great that the missions just never seem to end! (and i don't want them to) it's like... after one mission you're like holy crap that's the hardest mission ever! and there is one even harder just waiting for you. love it

I had my first joyride in an FBI car last night, I managed to drive it about 3 feet before it was peppered with gun fire and exploded.

Running and climbing over garden fences gives a somewhat satisfying feeling of being on the run.

CarsmileSteve and I are at the same point in the game, I think. I did take care of the Russians (finally) and accompolished my pimping missions. Denise and I went out on our first date as well.

In a way, I'm glad that it's taken me so long. I get the idea that I'll still be playing this game sometime into next spring. Long Cold Winter can eat my ass.

Don't get up onstage with the strippers at the PigPen. Learned that one the hard way.

Has anyone attempted the 'Beat The Cock' sub mission? Its a crazy Ironman contest against some other blokes, and a dude dressed as a 'cock'. I failed because on the cycling stage the checkpoint was incorrect at telling me to go right and I went tumbling down a cliff.

my theory is that you need to bump the car a lot (i haven't succeeded in the cruise yet after a couple of gos - but when you drive her normall and hit something she's all like "omg you're a maniac! i LOVE IT" and "car crashes get me hottt" so i'm guessing that'd be the tactics! i'm gonna try it out when i have a chance)

haha blount, that's how I was with vice city - every time i'd casually pick it up I would boggle at how much there was to do, and so i just never played it. i've found that it's easier to get some momentum going with SA though, after you've gotten a few easy things done the rest just keeps coming and coming. actually, i'm pretty sure it's ruined me for the other two games.

use the in-cockpit view, sometimes makes it a little easier to get your bearings (like in the boats).

Aw, that's the worst, and I do it too - take out game frustrations on other people in real life. These days I try to make sure I take a bit of time in a room on my own after any GTA session, just to make sure I don't start spazzing out at people who don't deserve it.
