i've completed like two missions, if i can't find an eight hour block to devote to it i just get frustrated and so have barely played it at all so far

I think I'm getting towards the end of the san fierro missions now, but I've slowed down a lot, mostly because of Half Life.

Has anyone attempted the 'Beat The Cock' sub mission? Its a crazy Ironman contest against some other blokes, and a dude dressed as a 'cock'. I failed because on the cycling stage the checkpoint was incorrect at telling me to go right and I went tumbling down a cliff.

my theory is that you need to bump the car a lot (i haven't succeeded in the cruise yet after a couple of gos - but when you drive her normall and hit something she's all like "omg you're a maniac! i LOVE IT" and "car crashes get me hottt" so i'm guessing that'd be the tactics! i'm gonna try it out when i have a chance)

haha blount, that's how I was with vice city - every time i'd casually pick it up I would boggle at how much there was to do, and so i just never played it. i've found that it's easier to get some momentum going with SA though, after you've gotten a few easy things done the rest just keeps coming and coming. actually, i'm pretty sure it's ruined me for the other two games.

use the in-cockpit view, sometimes makes it a little easier to get your bearings (like in the boats).

Aw, that's the worst, and I do it too - take out game frustrations on other people in real life. These days I try to make sure I take a bit of time in a room on my own after any GTA session, just to make sure I don't start spazzing out at people who don't deserve it.

My main problem with this game is that Kev and I can't play it together. We are both so bad tempered and playing it often leads to conversations like -

Him - "Where are you going? Get in the fucking car!"

Me - "I'm trying to!"

Him - "What the fuck are you doing! Shoot him!"

Me - "I'm trying to!"

Him - "Turn left! Left! Hurry up!"

that's a point, actually cars in san andreas take surprisingly little (i.e. zero) damage when they fall off 100 feet high cliffs as long as they land the right way.

The difference between me and my flatmate Tom is that when he fucks things up in GTA, he finds it funny. When I fuck things up, it makes me angry. So, when one of us is playing and the other is in the room, converstaions generally go:

Yeah, I find things like not being able to get on my bike, when you press triangle and CJ goes running manically down the road in the opposite direction on the vehicle you want to enter, etc remarkably funny and I dissolve into giggles, whereas he's sitting there fuming giving it
