read this as "Stargate University" and was kinda psyched for a second

No! Really? <--- LOL
Stargate University would probably be better served by airing on The CW. But I'd definitely watch!

Started tonight. I forgot to watch. Anyone else see it?

Just seen the first couple. Patchy. Starts off with rather confusingly, with flashbacks inside flashbacks, trying to do too much. All of the characters seem dislikeable in some way - but Carlyle's character is no Begbie. But characters develop, of course, mustn't judge them too soon - and I'm not expecting it to be a chummy ensemble piece like the original SG anyway.
Having been stuck on a ship, they're stepping out on to a planet for the next episode so we might see how "truly alien" it manages to be.

Cool, I'm going to catch up on hulu in the next couple days and then try to watch the new one live on Friday night.

Song at the end of #3 nearly made me give up on the show, and life.

Ha, my other half has just finished watching that episode about two minutes ago, and it made me want to kick the telly in. Carlyle's accent is dreadful (I am no fan, this is just general observation from it being on in a room I just happened to be in, and me giving it a couple of cursory glances)

Finally a decent episode! Rush being a conniving bastard for a reason, instead of just at random. And the communication stones are a great emotion-wringing plot device. The jumping back and forth in the middle was lol.

I still haven't watched this. I almost feel bad for starting the thread now, because I can't even drum up any interest in watching it.

I wouldn't worry. It hasn't approached even Terminator:SCC levels of quality yet.

lol what a low bar.
