x-post - it's still small but if I put my face pretty close the the screen I can read it . . . yes, that looks are ridiculous as it sounds.

i feel the imps a lot when im standing at a great height and also A LOT when i'm using a large knife like "well what if i just felt the sudden urge to slit my wrists"

those are fleeting in a way but i really do get terrified that i'm going to let slip a secret of a friend in front of that friend in front of people that matter - one of the more recent ones is casually mentioning who my friend voted for in front of his father - just terrified of stuff like that

when i was working at a call center i felt this all the time too - like what if i happened to say the n-word to this black woman that im speaking to, things like that - always mildly freaked me out

BTW - Asked someone at work about this earlier today and she brought up the jumping/pushing someone in front of a train as her most common example.

I think it's *the* stock example for people who regularly use trains.

Are you guys ever even around trains?

I sometimes amuse myself by considering how painful it would be to put one's head in front of the train and cop a glancing blow. And yeah, all the time.

It is bcz I live in rural America that I think of trains as things that haul agricultural goods and not humans.

Every time I cut myself shaving I have a split second vision of connecting the dots into a jagged red line from ear to ear. Then I finish shaving and go to work.

I often consider yelling gibberish at the occupants of stopped city buses.

Abbott I take the subway to and from work every day!

They're probably used to that kind of behavior, as bus passengers.

Bus passengers are generally pretty fucking crazy. A couple of years ago a woman who clearly couldn't control her imps actually flipped out on me and hit me while I was standing next to her on a bus.

w/r/t putting body limbs (and your head) in front of the train -- a fantasy I've definitely had while waiting on the platform -- have you ever thought about what would happen if you touched a train with your hand while it was flying by? It looks like with the velocity/etc it could just rip your fingers right off if you touched it...

(xp just so it doesn't seem like I'm being pedantic, God forbid...)

PP Hmmmm. That looks like gov officials just being cute cause it's already in the name. I think the NM one is because a lot of ppl don't know it'a part of the US! I had a friend who lived there for a while and repeatedly got asked what I was like living in Mexico even after he explained that he lived in NEW Mexico and not Mexico Mexico.

On especially frustrating days at work I have impy visions of picking up my keyboard and smashing my target (boss, coworker, customer, etc) across the face with it. This vision is usually a lot like that fantasy scene in High Fidelity where they hit Tim Robbins in the face with a phone and his teeth come flying out of his mouth like candy corn.
