Bill Nighy (again). Kentish Town. Standing by a dustbin separating the Family, Travel, Money sections from his Sunday papers before binning them like the rest of us do.

Dane Bowers at Casablanca's in Brighton. Drinking £1 tequila shots and being fawned over by plastic blondes. Cock.
Interestingly (or not) a friend of mine once saw another of Jordan's hole-fillers Dwight Yorke being refused entry to the same place. Gareth Gates for the set.

(uncorroborated sighting of Jo Whiley on same bit of street five minutes before, but I wasn't looking out the window at the time, so only have a "I think Jo Whiley just walked past the window" bit of hearsay to go on there)

mariska hartigay next to me at the playground while we were both pushing our sons on the swingset. i had no idea it was her until my wife pointed it out. i guess her son was having a birthday party there. i got to hear her talk to a friend about her son's eating habits for about 4 minutes. my failure to take notes pretty much dooms my celebrity-reporting career.

I just made a complete tit of myself in front of Dave Chapelle, whose polaroid is up in Peets' Coffee as "customer of the week". My boss and I stood there talking loudly about DAVE CHAPELLE and I WONDER IF HE COMES HERE EVERY DAY when none other than...DAVE CHAPELLE got up from a table in the corner and bolted out the door. I hope I didn't make him run away to Africa.

We did a night at a small club/bar where she had been two weeks before (so I don't think she came just for us!). She is very pleasant.

I think I saw Matthew McConaughey when I was jogging thru downtown Asheville on Sunday. I was running; no time for double-takes. But this town gets occasional celebrities in the summer.

My favorite was at the the West Hollywood Halloween carnival. I saw Weird Al and was like, hey, that's a pretty good costume. Anyway, he was eyeing the chicken dish I had purchased from a vendor.

My maw and da' were on the same flight as Smokey Robinson and his band today. My dad shook Smokey's hand and told him he was a legend. He saw fit to phone me right after they got off the flight and tell me the story, I can't blame him, SMOKEY ROBINSON! Tears of a clown, when there's no cunt around!

on sunday, saw andy richter kicking it with his wife and friends at Birds on Franklin. Andy was on his second martini before they even got their table, seemed real cool and was being nice to some lonely "fan" next to him while he settled his bar tab. too bad about that failed sitcom :(
