if you look at the carnival in terms of optics - and i agree with mark that a lot of these cancellations will be for fear of being monstered - then what it says is that there is a group of people whose feelings must be tiptoed around and other groups of people whose feelings, livelihoods etc simply don't matter

lol my friend whose job it is to compose her employer's official linked-in statements is currently cursing and raving abt this: required to write something genuinely only a step away from "RIP HRH, who for so many years brought such wisdom and grace to the dildo market"

it was such an innocuous and completely fair and uncontroversial comment to make, well if this was a normal country.

there is no way she would have approved of all the UK horseracing getting cancelled for days.
