I guess I can tolerate it with the scenario that it’s 1974 and little feat just rolled into to the bar

I probably quit (Jan 2006) out of vanity as much as anything... I didn't wanna get the ciggie wrinkles

It's not like anyone who smokes cigarettes is unaware of the health issues these days. They can feel it in their lungs, their mouths, their sinuses, so it isn't something just theoretical to them. So it's no surprise if lecturing just bounces off 'em. Better to let them know that if they ever try to quit you'll be there to help out because seeing them succeed would make you happy.
