Just as with Starmer's leadership vote, they are good at getting elected precisely once, and after that they have to deal with the consequences of their voters realising they lied about everything. One term will not be enough to loot everything they want to. Was horrified when I had the CLP on the phone asking me to attend stuff and even worse, a bent local councillor turning up on my door step offering to taxi me somewhere to vote for some local politics shite connected to a newbuild housing project or something .. god knows tbh. The idea of meeting ppl on the regular and getting drawn into this shit is genuinely horrifying to me.
