markelby, grow a MOUSTACHE. they're cool.

(even though mine is now long gone.)

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 14 October 2005 13:38 (eighteen years ago) link

It would take me, based on careful analysis of family patterns, approximately 3.4 years to grow a beard. Unfortunate un-hairy genetic combo to blame.

The Obligatory Sourpuss (Begs2Differ), Friday, 14 October 2005 13:48 (eighteen years ago) link

Yes, Markelby. The Peacock Johnson look is just right for you!

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Friday, 14 October 2005 13:51 (eighteen years ago) link

it took a surprisingly long time for my beard to grow in to any satisfaction, especially considering what a thicket the rest of my body is

strng hlkngtn: what does it mean? (dubplatestyle), Friday, 14 October 2005 13:52 (eighteen years ago) link

T- six months until my beard comes off. Three years will be enough. I'd shave it now, but it's nice to have a beard in the winter.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Friday, 14 October 2005 13:58 (eighteen years ago) link

I am planning to grow the second annual Beard of Winter.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 14 October 2005 14:13 (eighteen years ago) link

Mark, we'll be able to make a more informed decision if you draw a beard on with permanent marker so we can see what it would look like.

friend of mine told me tonight that my 4-days-and-shave routine leaves me looking like yasir arafat. he suggested going for the beard. i'm dubious. i hate shaving, but i also get itchy at the 4-day point.

yasir arafat?

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Thursday, 19 January 2006 05:00 (eighteen years ago) link

timing! again, i have big beard. i was off sick for a week, so i've been cultivating. i'm currently sporting my biggest beard EVAH.

the kit! (g-kit), Thursday, 19 January 2006 08:49 (eighteen years ago) link

yasir arafat?

Your friend probably means "yasir arafat, when he was alive".

I am almost certain I am shaving mine off tomorrow.

(Had it for 18 months, the last time it was cut back was about in October)

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Thursday, 19 January 2006 10:56 (eighteen years ago) link

g-kit you look good with a beard. Matt just trimmed his last night for the first time in ages - it was getting positively rampant.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 19 January 2006 15:48 (eighteen years ago) link

it's back.

cancer prone fat guy (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 19 January 2006 15:50 (eighteen years ago) link

It is gone. I am beardless.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Thursday, 19 January 2006 23:05 (eighteen years ago) link

still lovin' my beard, now that I learnt how to trim it.

how did you learn how to trim it? i've had a beard for awhile, but I look like a homeless guy. I'm trying to figure out how to get it so that it grows longer from the chin part, and have it shorter on jaws/cheeks and still looks good. I haven't ruled out that my facial hair pattern just naturally sucks.
