(This thread back after last week's fuckup)

Graham (graham), Monday, 14 October 2002 13:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Due to funny Ireland, Lilo and Stitch is coming out this week, so we may have to wait for the Powerpuff Girls. As a result, I'm waiting to see.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 14 October 2002 13:27 (twenty-three years ago)

I need to find a young person to go with me to act as cover first.

DavidM (DavidM), Monday, 14 October 2002 21:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I will be taking my Bubbles along to the cinema. Will I be kicked out/locked up/laughed at/fallen in love with?

Graham (graham), Tuesday, 15 October 2002 11:53 (twenty-three years ago)

(delete as applicable etc)

Graham (graham), Tuesday, 15 October 2002 12:07 (twenty-three years ago)

A low sodium diet and 250 ab-crunches each morning.

No, seriously, it opens THIS week? As in THIS Friday?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 15 October 2002 12:34 (twenty-three years ago)

My preparations involve finding a means of finding enough cash for a ticket, by fair means or foul.

Ess Kay (esskay), Tuesday, 15 October 2002 12:41 (twenty-three years ago)

(In the UK it does)

Graham (graham), Tuesday, 15 October 2002 13:28 (twenty-three years ago)

Hurray! It is opening this week, along with Lilo & Stitch! And xXx!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 17 October 2002 10:39 (twenty-three years ago)

MoooOOOO JoO JO JO!!!!!

angela (angela), Thursday, 17 October 2002 11:38 (twenty-three years ago)

it will be mu first cultural port of call once i get back to ol blighty

Alan (Alan), Thursday, 17 October 2002 17:31 (twenty-three years ago)

And now it's not open here after all. Which I'm sure you're all riveted about.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 18 October 2002 11:21 (twenty-three years ago)

OK, so I've seen it...

The PPG have switched from listening to Bis to listening to the Sugababes. Indie guilt?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 19 October 2002 08:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Underwhelming. The Sugababes video at the start is FUCKING FANTASTIC though.

Graham (graham), Sunday, 20 October 2002 13:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah? You didn't actually take Bubbles, did you?

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 20 October 2002 13:37 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes I did, though she stayed in my bag throughout. I was waiting for an appropriate moment to take her out, but was too embarassed that I'd been too embarassed to have her out right from the start.

Graham (graham), Sunday, 20 October 2002 13:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, that's cute. If you'd had it on yr lap the whole time it would've been scary.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 20 October 2002 13:50 (twenty-three years ago)

"it"????

HER

Graham (graham), Sunday, 20 October 2002 13:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Twee fucker.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 20 October 2002 13:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, I typed "her" but changed it, actually... I have a Cookie Monster toy on my bed, y'know.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 20 October 2002 14:01 (twenty-three years ago)

"Twee fucker"???

RECLAIMED twee fucker.

Graham (graham), Sunday, 20 October 2002 14:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah I have some redhot action ahead of me don't I.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 20 October 2002 14:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Also there are MEERKATS in it.

Graham (graham), Monday, 21 October 2002 09:41 (twenty-three years ago)

As long as they're real ones! Real ones are fantastic. If yr ever in Auckland go to the Zoo and see the meerkat area, you crawl through tunnels and such and peer out at the oblivious meerkats from plastic bubbles. It is FUTURISTIC one day they will rule the Earth, and actually I suppose I mean are they toys (of the PPuff Girls etc) or do they visit Africa?

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 21 October 2002 09:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Mojo Jojo take them to the ZOO!

Graham (graham), Monday, 21 October 2002 09:52 (twenty-three years ago)

It was a bit stretched I thought - a good special-edition TV episode (like 50 minutes or something) padded out to 80 - some of the scenes were really overlong. Opposable thumbs joke = k-classic!

The video was OK but the sound was really muddy on the print I saw.

Tom (Groke), Monday, 21 October 2002 10:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Nice one Mojo Jojo! No spoilers fine but that sounds like he's being all NICE. Hmmmm.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 21 October 2002 10:10 (twenty-three years ago)

one month passes...
And it's still not opened over here. Fucking brilliant.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 28 November 2002 14:06 (twenty-three years ago)

three weeks pass...
And now it has, and it's brilliant. Great to see a film where every shot has been examined to see if it can be cooler.
