Punk rock ethics

Thought of this while reading massive thread re: Vice magazine & checking out an interview w/the editors. What is w/this stance, that nothing is offensive/no line cannot be crossed EXCEPT we can't sell out, can't do this "just for money", have to keep our "integrity." What do you all think about punk rock drawing those ethical boundaries ? What's the point ?

Getting offended is the only thing that annoys some people.

i'd like to think punk was precisely about 'no sell out' and the preservation of integrity at any cost as much as its about 'sincere but selfish (even nilhistic) emotional/energetic response' but thats seldom sustainable and more an element of punk as an attitude and probably not as a genre

punk rock ethics= the ethics of the haves, laying down the law to the have nots. punk is bourgeois baby
