It is probably a virus. DELETE!

if it's not a virus then it's most likely a horrid SPAM anyway. avoid.

my new mail this morning consisted of one offer for larger breats [um...] and two for a larger wang [er...] - what is the innernet trying to tell me?

I'm getting a completely crazy amount of what appear to be viruses in my hotmail account - lots of emails that come from addresses and names I sometimes recognise from ilx but that have nonsensical topics, an approx 100k file size, but they're always blank if I open them.... am I the only one this is happening to?

well i deleted dick hamburger, though i did stare at the screen for a bit before i could bring myself to do it. hopefully it wasnt someone official telling me i have inherited millions but only if i respond within 3 days etc etc.

Kim: read Symantec Security Response - Klez virus - and don't for goodness sake open any of the attatched files.

I'm getting loads at the moment which tells me they are undeliverable items, all with attachments called New Microsoft Word Document. I haven't opened any of them, obviously.

if i get email from an ilxor that's about 130kb, i delete it immediately. especially if the subject line rings false, which it always does. so if yr gonna send me a big file, come up with a subject line that screams :"dont delete this! legitimate e-mail with large file enclosed for a good reason, not a virus!". maybe not that subject line exactly, tho.

i'm trying to imagine what would happen if someone posted a query like that on ILE now.

shit zings, probably.

also: am i the only one who hoped this might be a thread started by an evil genius wondering whether to infect a major public water supply, thus bringing a gasping, retching population to its knees and ushering in a thousand years of brutal tyranny?

yes? well, fuck you all, then.

grimly fiendish, Sunday, 20 April 2008 17:15 (eighteen years ago)

This was taken seriously!
